The wire came today and it's better than expected! See the video below!
Also, the invoice for the purchase came and the final price was $691.45 for 4400ft after shipping.
Bringing the per foot price to $0.157
I'm packaging the wire up and will post final "shipped" prices for each order as I get it packaged up.

After sending the supplier a video of the wire we're expecting, he wrote back to me and said if I mail him a sample he can duplicate it perfectly. So tomorrow (Monday) morning i'll mailing off a sample to him. We should still expect a 2 week lead time after he receives the sample though. So everyone is looking at a little bit of a wait to get this deal finished and done. Of course we won't collect payment until that time comes.
Group buy details
Over the last couple of days, I have been in correspondence with a US based company pounding out the details for a large order of Silicone wire.
This wire is custom made by this company IN THE USA.
Let me be 100% clear here, I am going to make ABSOLUTELY NO MONEY from this. This is a 100% non-profit group buy. I'll however be buying about 1/4th of the total order myself.
The company informed me there is a 2 week lead time as they manufacture the wire once I give them the go ahead. They will actually mail me the wire, and send me an invoice for payment along with the wire.
Once I am fairly certain we'll reach the group buy goal, i'll confirm the order and get the gears turning on this order.

Shipping fees to the buyer will be charged exactly what it costs to ship.
Buyers will pay for their wire (plus pp fees), Once their order has shipped they will pay for the shipping cost (realistically, it will be around $2 per person)

for 100 feet: $0.157/ft * 100 = $15.70 + $1.75 (shipping first class delivery confirmation 3oz.) = $17.45 + $0.83 PP fees = $18.28 Shipped.
for 200 feet: $0.157/ft * 200 = $31.40 + $2.26 (shipping first class delivery confirmation 6oz.) = $33.66 + $1.31 PP fees = $34.97 Shipped.
for 300 feet: $0.157/ft * 300 = $47.10 + $2.60 (shipping first class delivery confirmation 8oz.) = $49.70 + $1.79 PP fees = $51.49 Shipped.
for 1000 feet: $0.157/ft * 1000 = $157 + $5 (Priority mail small flat rate box) = $162 + 5.15 PP fees = $167.15
