Linna said shipping was 3-5 days and would be sent out after payment received. Id give it a few days for testing and building so my guess would be next few days or right after xmas

And yes I was getting the same feeling hence why I figured Id ask her. I dont think Linna is a member here or else she would have posted something

Yeah I havent heard anything either. Figured Id get a PM about this or a post here. Idk whats happening either but just interested in finding out so I know whats going on and who to place an order from. LK-SD 1500mW I was quoted just over $650 shipped via DHL for. LK-SD 850mW was $515 shipped and obviously the LK-PD2 price was posted earlier.

After you paid, the product will send to you 3-5 days.

Well now I wonder, too, as my LK-PD2 from the GB arrived from Len with no warning stickers on the unit, small bend on back case, black tape covering power cord slice with exposed wire, oil stains and clear tape on manual cover, and the beam exit glass required cleaning from inside. Seems it's been used a bit. Not sure what I received, except I paid $515 plus 4% to use PayPal for the upgrade from the LK-3D I original ordered. Not a big difference from the new quote of $492 shipped, put still puzzling.

I already sent len my money, but if this is true I could have got the LK SD instead of the LK PD2. not sure what exactly all the differences are, but I do note the 50mW more green, 100mW more red, and 200mW more blue. In this case I'd rather have capabilities than power, but both would be awesome

I think the sd and pd were the same price. I paid for the upgraded sd1. My understanding was the sd was more powerful but the other had a special lumina effects wheel. The sd1 was just more powerful and I thought a better for for my needs.

SD has a SD loaded with effects on it and a SD slot to program your own graphics/download them. Thats what Im getting from the website

OK-- I am back--

How will you be paying Linna??- if its Western Union or bank transfer you need to add that cost to your final price- Sales come and go- I had to price the GB at what they were then not now- I cannot do these if the out of pocket expenses required to do these must come from my end-
I DO however wish we had our tracking numbers by now- all the past GBs were shipped within a few days of our $$ being in LKs bank account--

@HWang- it would look very 'fishy' If I had stated that each buyers money goes 100% to LK which I have not only never posted but HAVE said that I must add something to each buy to help cover my costs to run these.

example- ONE LK PD2 had a drop in GREEN when the projector was running patterns -- I contacted Linna at once and she very promptly express shipped a replacement green no questions asked-when the problem then looked to be with the Show Card- I opted to send MY LK PD2 to the buyer and i now have his here and will be working on it in a thread with lots of help from linna and her crew-
I picked up another LK PD2 that has stopped alltogther AND If I had not sent mine to James I would have at the very least gave mine to George either as a 'loaner' or a trade with again me fixing that one and keeping it. --So saying you would do the same and actually doing this is two different things IMO-- Who can say they have NEVER purchased an item only to see it on sale later? Or offered used but in new condition at Ebay? Free shipping comes and goes-
So if you order a LK PD2 at $480 and for the time its free shipped- IF your bank if its like mine will charge you around $35(or more-this time it was ~$43) to wire your payment-

My trips to the bank- the Post Office etc have increased- My gas cost for a round trip is close to 7$ each time- I lose money sometimes to Paypal- is your time not valuable to you? My 'mark-up' does not hardly cover my labor -

I cannot say for certain that Linna and LK would NOT be giving you as a single buyer the same service we get as a group BUT you cannot say either than the service/support would be the same or better.

last night I spent 3 hours working on George's LK PD2- And I am not done- I could not find by myself why it has stopped BUt I took pics and made extensive notes to show to the LK people who are going to help me fix this one- the one from James with the power dropping green and the One I just now was told had stopped working properly that Larry has. I do not look upon this in a negitive way- I know it wil be a valuable learning expience and that is why the work will all be in a thread for any others to read and also learn-

You need to spend $80 to express ship your PJ BACK to China and Linna will help you - then you will spend another cost to get it back-- sound like BETTER DEAL?? --

FYI there a few ways to spend way less to ship a PJ back to China- BUT you are taking a HUGE risk- Express is NOT just faster it SAFER- much less chance of the box getting opened and inspected in China-

THIS is what CAN and HAS happened to me already- i sent some Pl-Es JETLASERS back to Gray- and even WITH express shipping for the FIRST time in several shippings our box got opened- the value i was told to place on these returns was rejected- even tho most were NOT working- Gray was told he needed to pay 100$usd to get the box sent on to him- Then China Customs jumped that price to $150 -- so who is to say WHAT 'hidden' costs can happen- and these are more likely IMO if your do NOT use EXPRESS to ship. So is crazy to NOT get the free help offered US to repair and avoid the shipping alltogether .

PS as there IS no FULL COLOR LKRGB5 listed at LaserKing you have NO price to compare ours with--AND-- as a GB we are getting the free travel case- a free 10M ilda cable the upgraded shipping and MOST important these are being re-built to become analog modulation and thus full colors instead of 7 color.

Keep us updated on the tracking # part. It looks like I'm going to have to just try to get someone to grab mine once it delivers. My biggest worry is that I only have 15 hours to get it working with my computer......


I have my DAC seemingly working with the 5pagetti setup... been playing with some traces of graphics and putting into frames but whether any of this actually works when I fire up before my party is a big unknown....

Idc that I am getting these prices from her, I mean its cheaper so I'm not complaining, its a Photonlexicon promo and anyone can PM her for the prices. What I was worried about was that I was going to get the projector and it not include something that was given free or added to this GB. Doesnt seem to be the case from what I'm reading. Also Ive posted the fees for WU and its $12 so if your bank is charging you a fee on top of that then you are being ripped off. WU lists the fees on their website and ill post a picture:



$480 + $12 = $492 not sure where the extra $23 is coming in, especially since this is all done online

If the support varies from GB and a single person buying the projector then that's not a company you want to deal with to begin with. If you get a lemon why don't you use the Consumer Protection through the service that the money was sent? If I'm paying ~$500 for something it better darn well arrive working 100% and I am by no means spending my time and money to fix it. Ill go after the seller to fix it. There is no point in me spending extra money for fix something that I paid good money to arrive working.

That's also two projectors that have arrived died :thinking: Now I'm starting to think the whole LaserKing thing over. You said that they were tested to be working prior to shipping so either that's not happening or shipping is damaging these badly.

There is no need to discuss via PM, everyone involved in this GB is curious so it should be discussed here. I'm not saying you did anything fishy, I was just wondering why Linna would quote me a cheaper price only a few days after this closed. It could be that she is in a good mood and wants to give back to photonlexicon or she just needs to get rid of these quick.

In the end it seems like photonlexicon is getting a better deal, whatever the reason may be, it doesn't matter since in the end $23 is $23. If the $23 was getting me something extra then heck yes I'd wait for the next GB but then there is the 10% price increase you were talking about so $480 goes to $528 or $515 goes to $568 plus fees so that's a big what if for me.

Again not calling you a liar or doing anything fishy, I just thought it was weird that a single buyer could get a better price than what you were quoted on a GB. Makes me question if you got a bad quote from Linna or she wasn't giving you the best discount and now photonlexicon is getting the best quote.

and i was 'WTH' my bank is ripping me/us off-- it clearly says at WU that sending bank to bank or CCard to bank IS FREE!!

Well no more bank trqansfers for me/us I am going with WU- SURPRIZE!!classic 'bait and switch' or flimflammery- the 'Free' bank to bank really will cost me JUST $5-(not FREE but still great uh?)
not so quick--
they do not tell you that your bank will STILL be charging you the same if you had done the transfer w/o WU- So i tried the debit card to china way-FIRST the MAX I can send is about one half of the order thus needing to send money twice-the 'actual' cost to send the max was $131-- and that srill leaves me with another WU 'trasaction; for the balance--

ALSO in the fine print below it says ' WU makes money from the exchange rate' just WTH does that mean? --It realy looks like there is no such thing as FREE when using Western Onion.
