Re: GB 405nm Goggle $35 (Laser-Wave)

now here you see it nice and clear!
i would have guessed it shines at 694nm perhaps? could be the cam which sees wrong colors..

again, i actually used this effect: i got a white stone with small red sandgrains in, as a present when i was perhaps 10. was told its ruby. now, some weeks ago, i could verify without a doubt that its not ruby, but garnet!
how about a laser and googles at the next fleamarked? "oh, you want 10$ for this garnet-ring?" *quick check with the laser* "oookay, here come 10$" *goes off, trying not to laugh, with a 500$ antique rubyring* ;-)

Re: GB 405nm Goggle $35 (Laser-Wave)

thats it for now.
remember, most pics and effects look less impressive and nice on pics. its more beautiful in real with almost every material.

hope you got an idea why those googles are so great, and come on, 35$ for custom-made laser-safety-googles is a steal! they dont exist on the marked, everything else you can buy is inferior.
you want to build and sell high-class bluray-laserpointers? consider adding a pair of googles to every packet, with perhaps a few fluorescening goodies! 35$ isnt much compared to what people pay for such a set, not?

finally: have a look around, theres much more than just burning! :)

cheers,

Manuel

+ 1 !

Very great pics! They show the difference quite well. Aside from laser-goodness ;)

damn, shipping is a b*tch. i don't like not having insurance...

I'll have to get these goggles anyway, I should have the money in a matter of days so you'll see it coming then :p

alright sounds good i know i wish international shipping was a better deal with tracking or insurance but they make you upgrade to express and its minimum of 25.

if anyone knows a cheaper way to get international tracking PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

also i have shipped quite a few international things on a few different forums and havent ever had a problem.

Re: GB 405nm Goggle $35 (Laser-Wave)

Hmm...it seems like there are so many people building 100+mW blu-ray lasers, I wonder why so few choose to get any type of eye protection? Surely they don't all have some form of it already, or are they just leaving it to chance?

I'm going to have to start advertising on behalf of your GB!

well i honestly risk it a lot especially now that i have been adding it into my scanner and do a lot of precise adjusting right next to reflective surfaces.

but some people use uv sunglasses and other substitutes but they are not up to par compared to what these will be doing

and please do help spread the word.

Re: GB 405nm Goggle $35 (Laser-Wave)

Is the protection for these going to peak up into any other definitive colors (eg. green), or will it be primarily in the 405nm range for the florescence effect?

Re: GB 405nm Goggle $35 (Laser-Wave)

diachi just bought some broadband goggles from me which will be the same size and shape and he said his glasses fit under them fine. :)

so im sure size has a factor but maybe he can chime in and let you know.
