Ok boys and girls here's a graph of my Aries 175mw running for 10mins on fresh recharged Nimh batteries, which don't really give the Aries the kick it likes so I'll run a test on some brand new alkalines a.s.a.p. The peak was 207.2mw once the diode got warmed up it sat at 193-197mw for a while then drifted down as the batteries waned away.

Nice one TL !! I'm in the same situation as you, figuring out how to convert the data in a nice graph.

I'll put up some of my results soon,.. btw, how did you manage to hold the ND8 filter in place? you got a holder for it or something?

I used good old fashioned blu-tack to hold the filter ensuring that none of the main sensor was covered and no other light can get into the meter.

Yeah I think you did hold it too :D I'm having a lot of fun with it too. As for power to the meter because it eats batteries in a big way, I'm using a telescope power pack that also has a 9volt outlet of nice clean DC power ;)

That's a nice power tank and the price is reasonable too. And a 17amp battery built in is a hefty one.. :p

Mine still has not arrived..... Hoping it has while I am at work... Prob been held up as Royal Mail at Liverpool had unofficial strikes or thats what I am hoping anyway........
