PRICE WENT UP ON C-MOUNT GRAB BAG, since i will be adding 500mW red's and IR diodes up to 3W in it!!

$100.00 C-mount Lot of 20 C-mount diodes in a nice gel pac tray, you will get an assortment of wavelengths, mostly near IR, some red too. Possible wavelengths are all over the map, from 635nm through 1500nm. About 80% are working- Power levels are generally over a watt!

Use a 555 and pulse no more than 100uS at 5.5A peak using a mosfet w/ freewheeling diode and balancing resistor. Diode has an intrinsic resistance of about 0.25 ohm and has a voltage drop of about 2.4V Alternately you can run at 500mW to 1w CW if cooled with a TEC to about 10 degC

I have received first package of two today. I am very happy with delivery.

Not only that diodes were SEALED!! in anti static packing , but each comes with a little jumper over pins that shorts grnd. and positive pins, as well as protects them from breaking during shipment.

interesting note, 635nm 9mm is a very short open can 9mm diode!!! very curious.

i received a bag of "goodies" as bonus and two lolly pops - chocolate!" :-)

paperwork was included with instructions and diode ratings, and suggestions for power supply.

very nice!

Thanks
Now i am waiting for multi mode colimators and some extra time to start experiments.

thanks a lot Chris, I'm looking forward to dealing with you again, soon.

cheers

Collimator assemblies have a beam acceptance diameter of 1/4 inch, They ARE NOT HEASINK UNITS FOR THE DIODES, you need to buy or build a 9mm heatsink. I found that drilling a hole in a piece of aluminum L rail to hold the diode in and using another piece to hold the lens works very nicely though.

i plan to place 9mm diodes in Meredith module with single glass focusing lens. Do I need to have this lens and focus the diode prior your collimating assembl?, or *post?

here is picture of meredith module with focusing lens http://www.mi-lasers.com/cgi-bin/sho...&key=LDC-2

thanks

so i will just focus your 9mm diode with meredith lens to about less than 1/4" size (line/rectangular projecton) into your collimator to get round shaped long range beam?
