Regarding the switch?
This switch is a piece of crap! Sure I could do the anslem mod, but it's still a price of cheap crap:(

Like I said in another thread. this switch quality has no reflection on kenom. The kryton was designed for this switch back before the 445 diode.

Has anybody found any alternatives for a switch?

I see lots of switches online, like this at the poopshack, says fits 1/2 hole?
SPST Push On-Push Off Switch - RadioShack.com

I think I'm going to try it? Maybe make it work with some washers or bolts from the hardware store.

those springs came from the clickie.

@aj, you can get packs for like 3 bucks on dx.

michael.

Herp-derp...

I just got an Anslem modded clickie from Daguin in preparation for my groove to arrive. I didn't recognize the spring at all. (facepalm) LOL.. I'm sure I can source something for the driver board end somewhere easy enough.

The scale on these close up macro pics keep throwing me off every time. :p

the second picture is a spring from a battery holder.. ya know AA or AAA or such. it was just soldered onto the cut off of a diode to extend it down to the battery contact.

I have come up with a replacement for the clickies, it however requires you to make a round pcb to be mounted into the tailcap. From there you solder one of these switches...

although I'm not too sure these would hold up to the current either as the other springs are "SUPPOSEDLY" rated at 1.5A

That would be sweet. His switches are rated for 3A I think. They always seem to have a good solid click. My curent DX switch has not been anslem moded yet but the cliking noise sounds like little toy or something.

Good to see that people are getting theirs. Any update on anodizing the remaining barrels?

I already paid for 2 beasts and Kenom assured me they will go through eventually.

So, I'm waiting also.

I've found a machine shop that claims to have the ability to do the beasts, it's just a matter of nailing the guy down to get some specifics on how much, how long it will take.. etc. He's harder to catch than me. :) Almost as bad as trying to get in touch with Dr. lava!

As to continued shipping, I've kind of put that on the back burner this week as I've got an inspection of my apartment this friday and I just brought all my belongings over from Helena last weekend. So, I'm unpacking and getting the place clean and presentable in two weeks. ON a positive note, the apartment I've got has a utility room that is off the side of the apartment that is perfect for my anodizing setup and I can even do it in the winter! So, as soon as the inspection is done, I'll get everything setup again and finish anodizing the remaining 7 barrels..or so.

This one works and fits (you MAY have to sand down the spacer a bit)

McGizmo McClicky Switch Module with rubber boot

Or I've got more of the Anselm modified switches for $7 shipped

Peace,
