USPS Flat Rate mail is almost always two days but can take up to three. With the holiday weekend, I can see them being delayed in shipment, but if they do not show up by tomorrow, then they were not shipped out.

What's the plan for UK/Intl orders?

Side note: If my records are correct it's been over a year now since I sent payment - what's the time-frame for completion of this GB?

i know you haven't been around much charlie so a summary for you...

most krytons have shipped with in the last month or 2. but 1 batch remains and half of that batch kenoms says shipped last week. so hopefully with more setbacks anticipated i thinks we should all have ours in a month or 2.

something must be wrong. because even when he messes up or is late he usually has an answer.

After being called out, he won't make any more excuses, most likely he will just not say anything.

I have frankly had enough, I need my money back because I'm hurting from a few financial mishaps.

I have sat around quietly and pm'd him a few times, but not rushing him. Now when I need my money back the most, he's absent. If I get the host I will need to sell it ( if I can I don't even know what kind of state they are in), unless I can get these mishaps under control.

I can only hope that something happens quickly, if nothing else come clean and tell us all the truth. I know he has been around a long time and several vet members know or have met him, so maybe they can talk with him and see what is going on.

@Ken:

If you have the machined bodies ready to ship, and anodising/finishing is going to take in the order of several months, can you refund me the difference and ship them unanodised perhaps?

sorry guys, I've been really busy working and haven't had a chance to ship out those barrels I promised.

I get paid on the 14th and all the barrels I had slated for shipment will have to go out on that date since I no longer have even two pennies to rub together. This is no excuse guys. it's a fopa on my part. To those that want refunds, I will gladly refund on the 14th. Those that can wait till then, I will ship them then.

I just had to move to a new town for a personal issue and this has kind of put me behind on the things I've wanted to get done. I didn't have a choice on the date I moved. So this was totally unexpected. It will get resolved though guys. I know everyone is getting fed up. Hell I am too. I won't let anyone down tho.

As long as it's coming, you're cool with me.

A prerequisite for a GB probably should be "A stable home life", however it's not like you always choose, or expect changes in that.

Glad to hear something might happen on the 14th, as soon as I see the money back in my paypal I will believe it.

I will PM you on the 14th with my paypal account and the previous transaction number.

Can you at least update the google doc to show who's orders will be shipped on the 14th?
I know mine is ready but, would feel so much better to know that it's on the list for the 14th. Maybe a new color?

Kenom I sure hope you can get your affairs in order. Get your life on steady course before you attempt to do a GB again.
P.S. what ever happened to the beast, are people still waiting for that????

When I first signed up to this forum, the Kryton was my favorite host and I wanted one.
For me, this experience has been a monumental waste of time and money and I have decided to post this
mainly so other people who are receiving Kryton's will know what to expect when doing their builds.

I asked for a high polish host and received a semi-polished host.
I was never asked if I wanted engraving and after specifying that I didn't, the barrel I received had
been engraved and then the engraving was poorly removed leaving scars.
When I asked Ken about the method of removing the scars, he told me to go to a hardware store
and find some kind of liquid.

My builder had to re-thread the focus adapter which was way too small to fit the 405-G-1.
He said "You should have seen all the metal that came out."

I still got a garbage switch even though Ken knew everyone would most likely be running their units ~1000mA.

Upon putting it together with the supplied parts he could not get the switch to function as it was always under tension against
the cover to the spacer. The included spacer was too fat.
He made two thinner spacers from nylon rod on his lathe so he could put one under the switch to hold it farther away from the
cover, the second spacer went on top of the switch under the retaining ring. Now the switch functions correctly.

He put a small bead of solder on both the contacts that touch the body of the host to make a better/tighter connection to the switch.

He had to make a nylon spring +positive battery terminal as there wasn't one supplied.

I'm not sure how many people would have the time or equipment to do all this.

The 445nm diode that was included seems to work! That's a plus.

My biggest problem is that the high polish was the original reason I wanted one of these in the first place.
So now after all this, after more than a year, I'm not getting the product I wanted.

I felt as if I had no choice accepting the polish problem because the alternative (shipping it back to him) was
something I couldn't bring myself to do after so much waiting.

I know Ken said he wanted everyone to be satisfied after such a long wait (and this is not a personal attack of any kind),
but if being satisfied means I need to wait even longer. I refuse. I will never be satisfied at this point, no matter what happens.

Thanks for listening.

-Chuck
