Tossing dry ice in there would create carbonic acid. that wont harm the process at all will it?
Perhaps have the acid dip its self inside of a ice bath. maybe put the bucket in a cooler with ice in it.. if you have a cooler thatll probably be a cheaper option than to buy dry ice.. youll need a lot of it to chill a couple gallons a couple degrees.

they do it all the time as it was recommended to me from the anodizing forum. the bath is already in an igloo cooler.

Yeah it's kind of ironic isn't it. I placed it in the cooler so that it is a good place, isn't affected by the acid, keeps it cooler as it's not affected by the outside temperature as much (although some) and retains it's temperature longer. Also has a nice lid for it. I kind of wish it had the drain plug as it would be easier to drain into my acid storage tank.

I have a feeling this will be the last run of Krytons ever, based on the troubles Kenom has run into during this whole GB. Like I said before, Kenom you deserve a streak of good karma!

the anodizing is the prob. he should just offer 1 color that will be done by a professional. and if somebody wants a custom color, ken can send a blank on to them and they can pay around $70 to get it done themselves. the local anodizer here charges by the pound basically. but has a minimum. so 1 barrel costs the same as a larger batch. roughly $70.

I've been asked multiple times by a few people as to when their particular barrels are going to ship, and I'd like to speak to this. I apologize profusely that this GB has taken as long as it has, and I assure you this was not intentional or a lack of desire on my part to conclude this in a timely fashion. I have shipped a few barrels already to some individuals and I'd like to stop shipping them until I get them all finished. There are 2 main reasons I'd like to do this They are thus.

1. I really don't have an accurate means of keeping track of who I have or have not shipped barrels to. In some instances I can only rely on my failing memory or the honesty of the individuals involved. I'll be honest, my failing memory has made it so I've shorted people and I don't want to do this again. I've also had folks lie to me and tell me they have not received their barrels when they did in an effort to get a free barrel they didn't pay for. I simply cannot afford this.

2. this allows me to keep an accurate track of the number of barrels I have remaining and as such not short someone. I've already got a number of barrels out there that I can't account for and the individuals involved have not responded to emails 3+ months old. If they do not respond, I cannot be held accountable (within reason) for product they did not receive. In those instances, I will most likely have to issue refunds as I only have enough barrels to fill the orders I have noted as outstanding and not ones I've already counted as fullfilled. I will ship it insured with delivery confirmation though.

If you cannot wait, or are getting too frustrated with the length of time this GB has taken and have to have your barrel right now and you've seen it and it's done, I will accommodate you. I will ship it. However, since my means of tracking shipped orders is flawed and I'm shipping them prior to what I'm comfortable with, I will wash my hands of responsibility if the barrel does not arrive or it's ever questioned.

Now, I'm open to suggestions on how I can accurately track and account for what I've shipped. I'm not too proud to admit I've failed in this in the past and am clueless. I do keep all of my receipts from the post office, but I've collected those for YEARS so wading through that will take a long time.

Those that I know thus far I HAVE shipped are as follows.
Daguin
Jayrob
Tysonc1979
GMH
532 with envy
moebius
chipdouglas (1/2 of order)

If you have received your barrels and are not listed above or are in red but not listed above please PM me or shout out that you have received them. I need your help in keeping this all accurate.

Again thanks everyone for your patience. I have failed everyone in doing this in a timely fashion and I kick myself every day this isn't completed. I do apologize.

Paper and pencil is always good. Jot down all the paid buyers emails, names, addresses, and what they ordered (also could cross reference the spreadsheet) make a check box if their barrel has been completed. Finally after shipping cross through their name with a colored marker signifying that their barrel has been shipped (* a tracking number next to their name would be a good idea as well).

Do what you can do until this is out of your hair and then take a good ol' fashion fishing trip! :)

Peace

And finish the Beasts please.

I agree about waiting until all are done. Much easier to organize and people won't be able to take advantage of you that way.

It's easy to get lost in the moment and things get shipped wrong.

Most of us ARE waiting quietly for these to finish. Some are still learning patience.

I've tried the paper and pencil route. It does me no good. I am utilizing the spreadsheet on google docs as a master for this purpose. I printed it out and update constantly what I've got done and what left I need to ship. However with as forgetful as I am, I am just not very good at updating it or think that I've forgotten something when I really haven't. It'll just be best to wait until they are all done and ship them ALL at that time.

As to the beasts, I am in the process of purchasing a craftman lathe, and I will be able to individually turn out the beasts if I cannot find a cnc shop to do them for me. If however this turns out to be the case, they will not have the helixal groove on the exterior. It's just impossible to do without a specialized tool.

I have successfully turned out a Kryton Ecig with the lathe I have access to now, and I'm absolutely LOVING being able to machine parts. It's soooo much fun, although I AM learning that the doggone things aren't CHEAP. You have to spend sooo much on tools and bits and such.

Looks like the hosting for these images isn't working. Gives me 403 errors that I need to log into DropBox to see them. Anyone else?

I am out anodizing right now, and am trying my new method of dry ice to cool my bath.. it's kinda cool to see all that fog coming from my bath.. hehe.. I will post pictures of what I do tomorrow.

In the meantime, I did get back some barrels from the engraver today. I love the logos on these things...
