all of the polished ones that folks have requested ship early will not have the logos. Unless you specifically request it. I just have to mail off the one to the engraver and have it engraved.

Ken, I want one of the grooves, like the one's at the bottom and in the middle that are fade black to silver, whatever color you call that, let me know so i can remember it, and put me down for one, and when I need to be paid to get it on time with all the others

I would like to request all of mine without the logo regardless. Not because of shipping earlier. I would just prefer not to have any logo markings. Is that ok?

That particular one is a gun metal to black fade. However if you want it from plain to black we can do that too.

The sooner you pay the sooner you secure a slot. Payment instructions are in the first post.

OH I suppose :( there were a lot from the first and second run that didn't have logos.

I can understand not wanting the logo, but personally I think it is a nice addition.
These are unique, very nice host. We have all waited a long time for them, and I think that I can wait just a bit more for the engraving(I have two of the plain polished host).
Thanks Kenom for keeping us up to date on whats going on.
Looking forward to some beautiful host, now I just have to figure what I want to put into them.
On a side question, I think I read somewhere here, but for ease.....
Would I be able to mount a C-mount diode to these? I know that they are designed for direct 5.6mm diode press but could they be modified?

They can be modified to work with a C-mount. Now that being said, it's not a simple thing. The physical modification is pretty simple. The modification necessary to get the driver hooked up and working is a different story. I have yet to get one working but I have no doubt I will very soon. I will show you a picture of the modification

I ended up placing a blank PCB over the top of that and attached the driver to that PCB. Only issue was, my driver was putting out over 3A and it kept frying the C-mount.

Once you modify it for c-mount though there is no going back to 5.6mm.

Thanks for the picture there, that explains a lot to me.
I'll have to think more about it and see what might come to mind to make it work.

I wanted to get mine without the logos also, not that it's a bad logo, it just takes away from sleek clean look of these well designed barrels. That being said it doesn't really matter to me anymore because I have accepted the fact (hopefully incorrectly) that the ones I am getting from this run will not match the barrel I have left over from run #2, especially If I don't get the extra matching anodized focus adapter for my old one that I have ordered and paid for. It's a shame I don't have the money to waste on a full set of matching barrels from this run.

I can anodize the barrel to match exactly if you wanna send your old one to me. I can even add an extra focus adapter... PM me and we'll work something out.

Finally got the polisher modified to do what I want and the initial tests were pretty promising. I've still got a few leaks here and there but I think this will work perfectly. I even took pictures to share with you guys.

ugghh!!

I ran this with the water and 3 barrels for a total of 6 hours and the sludge I got in my bucket is just nauseating.. I had to take some pictures for comparison

Here is the BEFORE

Here is the after

you can see in the tube in the before that the water was relatively clear and could actually see through the tube. Now however....

You can see it's pretty murky and why it was so important for me to get the water flowing through so I could pull this byproduct off the polisher and into the bucket. Tomorrow I will empty it and start with fresh water.

The positive side is, this decreases the amount of time it takes to polish the barrels with the plastic cones!

I have a total of 5 barrels that are going on to be anodized here in the next few days. This is going to be a long process cause the polisher will only take 3 barrels at a time and it requires almost a full day in each, then after I have done all 80, the media needs to be switched and I can only put 1 in at a time in the shells. That will also take one day. However, as soon as it's done in the shells, it will immediately be anodized and dyed.

I have a c mount adapter that fits the kryton and you can still go back and use a 5.6mm diode. It fits the kryton like a glove and the adapter has plenty of mass for heat sinking the only thing is i cant remember who made it i think it was jayrob but dont quote me on that but if anyone wants i could send it to someone to make more. Sorry for the late response. Here are a couple pics
