Re: Possible Leadlight Clone GB *Feeler

I don't even know if she will send me a sample. If she sends me in-stock pics of chrome leadlights, then that will be enough :)

Actually, I just remembered there is a suitable Leadlight replacement... I've personally tried one of these in the past after straw purchasing several for another member.

I will be ordering a few more this week so if you want, I can tack you onto my order...

Guess what?

1. DX doesn't ship lasers over 5mW to the US.
2. It has an ugly button.
3. It has an ugly aperature cap.
4. It is not worth the price.

Re: Possible Leadlight Clone GB *Feeler

1) Use sawt's GB or something...
2) The button isn't quite that different than a real leadlight except it's rubber. It looks nothing like the one in the picture.
3) The aperture cap is rarely used since most people make focusable lasers from leadlight casings. Even if you decide to use it, it doesn't look any different than the DX lasers...
4) It's a matter of opinion...

And spyder, don't need to be so defensive. I'm just making a suggestion...

Then put me down for 1, and when you have enough orders I'll see how much money I have available; but I can definitely get 1 (Hopefully more).

I have had both and the leadlight is way better looking and smaller.

It is not oval though ::)
It HAS to be oval. It is all about the oval button...

The "oval-ness" of the button isn't quite as elongated as the Leadlight but nevertheless, it's still oval...

I'll wait till the pictures are posted for the chrome one before I buy into this.
It's really the host I care about than the actual laser inside.

BTW.. I'm not too sure if you asked if they had red ones also.. that would cut the costs down more.

I'll ask her if she sells black ones :)
If they are chrome, will you still want one?[/quote]

Sure, that's fine, but I'd prefer black if possible.

When I tried ones like these, I couldn't get the laser module out, since it was glued in tight. If you find a good way of removing them, I'd like to hear it.

If the Leadlight clones are anything like the pen lasers from laserglow, which they look very close to, then the module ought to slip out easily.
