yes they are the millatary chesp ones but they are better than nothin this makes baloon poppin kinda boring lol ::)

Are the lenses plastic??  Those might help.

Balloons are like shooting rabits with an elephant gun.  

I almost set fire to a couch with a CO2 about a year ago.  Be careful. What is your beam dump? Brick??

Some thoughts about the electrical specifications:

Someone wrote:

1. I guess this comment is indicating that the output-power would depend on the input-voltage. Is this the case or is the driver internally voltage-regulated? I was thinking of buying a PS with maximum 26,4V but if the laser is more powerful on higher voltage maybe I should go with the one that has 32V minimum instead?

2. Is the PWM-input on the driver galvanically isolated (eg with optocouplers) from the main PSU? Otherwise I would strongly recommend not using the wall-wort previosly mentioned. But I guess it is since it seems to work... :)

3. Maybe someone in the forums on your continent can program microcontrollers with the specs for this PWM? That would sure make a compact, precise and cheap design. I could do it but I guess its much better (cheaper shipping) if someone in the states handle it.

Other thoughts:
Man, am I excited to get my hands on tis badboy!?

Recommended V run range is 28 to 32V. YES, the pwm is isolated with opto's

so the wallwort will be ok Im guessing ? Tottish if you decide to build pwms I would be intrested in one for sure please let me know I have no clue on how to build one thanks, also I cant tell a difference on power out put I should be getting my 28 volt 12 amp :) power supply monday I will be able to tell the difference then

Thanks heruursciences! Ill just run mine on 31,4 and the PS I ordered can output 9,7A. Hope that's sufficient to max-out this laser.

Yeah the wallwort should be fine, then. About the PWM... I will build one for myself so I might as well build one for you too since I have to write the code anyway. How would you like the 'input' on yours? Just a knob to turn from 5% to 95%? Guess that's the best way if you don't plan to hook the laser up to any external electronics.

Yeah, that looks like good one Mike. Shouldn't be to hard to put on a breadboard.
What's better with the microcontroller-solution is that it requires (much) fewer components, takes up (much) less space and is probably cheaper and much more precise (guaranteed 0-100% if you want and more stable in temprature variations) and flexible. For example you could have it modulate pulses so it fires like a machinegun if that is desireble... ;D Maybe for you guys building portable rayguns? Maybe a beam fade-in/fade-out funktion? As soon as you include microcontrollers to a project it becomes quite limitless!

I know that none of these factors are a concern to many of you but to others; it might.
