Pics in 2nd page dont match the one in first, i did take a look at the hole in middle & it seem different

are they upside down?

in the pic in the first page you see the diode socket ( back side )
In the other picture you see the hole for the lens ( front side )

Got my sinks this morning...very fast considering it made it to the west coast in 2 days.

oxidation wasnt as bad as I thought. polishing compund and a felt tip for my dremel + 3 minutes...and they are nice and shiny...not a mirror finish, but good enough. Maybe I'll take some more time and give the spare one I have the "full treatment" to get a mirror finish...its gonna be 2 more weeks until DX ships my other host anyways.







one thing i noticed though, when the heatsink is in the host and the front bezel is screwed in all the way, the heatsink rattles and spins. I dont know if anyone else has this problem. I assume its because DX being...well DX shipped my host without the O-ring for the bezel, but even still...the o-ring isnt THAT thick. theres a solid 1mm gap. anyone has any idea what the deal is or would like to donate me some o-rings for this host, I have several from other lights but nothing that fits.

anyways, I consider this a minor problem that can be fixed before my diodes get here...still an awesome heatsink for an unbeatable price.

I would jsut run down to the hardware store, you can buy single o-rings for about $0.20ea

Got the heatsinks thnx! I alo got the host from dx the same time perfect timing lol

And yes i notice it to that it is a little lose at the bezels end, easily fixed with a thick o ring though

What you do is replace the o-ring in the middle of the host with the o-ring at the top of the host.

Aha ok, haven't tried that yet.
i had a little baggie with GITD o-rings from DX which seem to work perfect for this to.
but thnx for the tip.
