Some SUPER bright LED's at that. I've made a few flashlights and a mood lamp out of them, they're great. Hey has anyone in the US not received their heatsink yet or just me?

I have not either...

I hate the MAGS.. I want something nicer better..

So am I right in saying if I GP something to a copper mount I can reflow solder another GP'd component to it?

I use to say I hated the Mags also, but after making 3 now I really like them.

Say does any one know about gold plating and soldering? I was told that after you gold plate something you could then solder to it easily... I just dont know if that is true. and dont want to waste time and money finding out for myself. I baught these Gold Plated TEC units there very small 8x12mm The spec sheet said that they were GP'd so that they could be low temp soldered to the heatsink / coldplate. They are awesome little buggers they get so cold on a 3.7V Lion and dont seem to produce alot of heat... I would say manageable heat in a larger host. I just dont know how to solder it to a heatsink. Maybe I am going about this the wrong way.. I need to start a TEC thread and how to go about tec cooling a module for handheld use..

You don't want to solder that just use your thermal epoxy.

I know this thread has been put down, but now that a few more weeks have passed... Has anyone else not received their heatsink and focus adapter or is it just me?

Still didn't recieve 'em?

That's worrying.

Let me know via PM what is your PP address from which you sent money, or your name so I can look it up in my emails or PP records.
