...Obviously someplace very different from the reality where I'm able to burn stuff and melt plastic with my "20mW" PGL-III-C 589.....

Since it's a CNI i'm sure it is but i'll ask anyway. Is it IR filtered? heh. And congrats on scoring a kenometer. About time you got a LPM considering all you've spent on lasers. heh.

Yeah, the cni pen models are all IR filtered on the brass aperture/endcap, even makes it easy to replace the IR filter if you need to. And the IR filter is AR coated too.

So does this mean that he has sent our orders in and they are being made for us?

Yes. CNI is a manufacturer. They build product as they get orders from what I can tell.

I have already payed Glenn but I don't think everyone has...Is this how it normally works on CNI GBs? We place our order, the lasers are made, THEN pay for them and they are shipped?

I don't think Glenn would pay for the lasers with his own money hoping you will pay him. Your payment guarantees you getting a laser

That doesn't answer my question. Does CNI typically build the lasers for GBs before payment is sent? Or maybe everyone has payed and I am just unaware.

Same idea holds. Companies would receive money first because people may at the last minute say "oh oops nevermind, i don't want these anymore" and the company can't do anything about it

While it's best to ask him, of course, I do know in some GBs he was able to add more orders to the GB even while other lasers from that GB were being produced.

Basically, it involves telling CNI "can we add one more to production, here's the payment."

However I also think some people who have denoted interest very recently in this thread likely have simply missed the cutoff time for the GB #11 order.

It'd be great if Glenn could shed some light on the status, personally, in this thread though.

Glenn, is it too late to get in? I came into some money and there's a chance I might be able to do this.

Thanks,

Probably best to PM him, quadcam - he hasn't been in the thread here for a while (unfortunately) ... If you do get a response, please do update the thread though...

Cool, thanks. Glenn is a busy man! It's great of him to take his time to do this for us.
