Not yet! I can't get the color balance right yet to show the difference. Of course to the naked eye its night and day, but the camera wants to see everything as the same green!

If 532nm is a candy, happy, 'sweet' green, 561nm is a 'military, serious, money, olive, emerald, jade, business green'.

I just can't get the pics to show enough difference!

I think I need to try my Sony DSC-828 with a 4-color sensor, and see how that does. Or some of my older cameras with CMY sensors.

Trust me, I wanna do this one justice!

Hmm. I would have thought 561 would have leaned more towards a yellowish green, and a 'deeper' green would be a shorter wavelength than 532.

Unless that's a typo and you mean 516nm.. which would be a diode.. right? o_O

Prototype's right, 561nm. And, its.. how can I explain: more "olive green" than "bright grass green". It's not yellow. It is more the 'yellowed side of green' than 532, of course. And its not anything like 532. I'm trying like hell to get the camera to capture it right. Even my DSLR seems to want to see it as "whatver green the green bayer filters see".

Nope Qumefox not a typo. Once you get shorter than 532, things start to go cyan-green, like 515, which is definitely green but on the edge of cyan.

Ahh I finally got around to reading the long list of lasers...Can I get in for a 532 5mW pointer still?

So what's the price on the 589nm pens? I don't believe that we have 10 people yet but I'm pretty sure we have at least 6. Maybe they can bump the price up just a bit to compensate for the lack of a few people? I've been trying to get this info for a while now... anyways, thanks Glenn for everything you do :beer:
