Thanks for the review iron, sorry it wasent too bright, but you get what you pay for, my guess is close too 75-90 mw of green on yours, still a pretty good price compared to nova and others, take some pics, BEAM SHOTZ!

phoenix, i would suggest trying with yob, the keys would take at LEAST a month to get here unless we want RIDICULOUS, shipping.

I just read Ironmetalx's review, he said he ordered a 150mw green pointer and it's "way less bright" than his current 100mw green pointer. It seems to me, he's getting "way less" than what he paid for; but you commented that he got what he paid for....I don't understand this logic?

I have some experience with lasers in our lab and 90mw is just slightly less bright than 100mw as seen with the human eye. I know the term "way less bright" is pretty dubjective, but my guess is that it's actually more in the range of 60-70mw. Of course, if he doesn't have any real knowlwdge as to the actual brightness of his 100mW, I suppose it could actually be over-powered (depending on the dealer he bought it from) and could be 125mW, thus the 150mw pointer he just bought might be more like 85-100mW.....but on the other hand, his current 100mw laser might actually be less than 100mW, whcih would make his "way less bright" 150mw laser more like 40 or 50mW.

So my question is.
I've been watching this thread and waiting for the reviews before placing my order for one of the 500mW green portables. What happens if someone like myself gets one of these lasers, tests it and it's under-powered ie. "way lees bright" than it should be?
Do we just contact you and arrange for it's return to you so that you can replace it?
I'm just asking as I want to get the power output that I've asked and paid for, boy I would be sending it back the next day if I got less than what was offered for an agreed upon price.

Sorry I'm asking what may be the tough detailed questions, but I did get ripped off in a GB in 2008 and now I ask more questions before jumping in and sending money.

Actually i JUST found out that they DID put an IR filter in mine after all and my 100mw bright laser is just emitting a buttload of IR that probably damaged my eyesight a lot besides the housing being cheap and me needing to fix a few things up the lasers are very nice for their price. I wouldnt say they were perfect but they look great and shine nicely. i dont have a laser meter so i have no idea what mw they are really at but the beams look nice and clean and Day provides great cutomer service so if you have any trouble he should be able to help you! he helped me a lot .

Sorry if this sounds bad, but you do get what you pay for, there REALLY cheap compared with CNI based brands, also about ironmetalx, his had a weak connection and was solved in conjunction with me, my supplier support staff, and some common knowledge. If you buy a 500mw green expect 425-525, big range but at that price you cant get a RPL of equal power, really anything. VERY few people have seen the real price list and they can voch for me that t hese are DIRECT prices, so im making NOTHING, although iron was nice enough to send me a $5 tip

The way I look at it with these Cheap GB lasers is order a laser that is specified to be twice that of the output you want. I honestly only expect to get 200mW tops from this laser and it is specified as a 300mW. If it is 300mW I will be freaking out and you will all hear about it. If it is under 150mW then You might here me b1tch a little bit. The only reason i would ever return a laser from a cheap laser GB is if it were DOA. If I paid full price for a laser from Wicked (like that would ever happen again, after 2 dead spiders) or tech, or opto, and it was considerably under spec then I would consider returning it. The cost to ship it back and forth just isn't justified with these GB plus it puts a lot of crappy responsibility for the person who organized the GB. If you want a high powered laser that isn't going to crap out on you after a day or 2 of use, you are going to have to pay for it.
