I wonder what the shipping savings would be?

Hmm, if we can get one more person, and assuming everyone who has responded actually buys, it'd still be a 15% discount. If some of you can't afford it now, I could even buy an extra to make it 10 or so and then have you buy it off me later.

I am considering purchasing a second-pair anyway, (ain't no fun if your buddy can't have some) ;)
I am working with my OEM-account to find out the feasibility of lowering the buy to 10+, I hate to do this, but I will get some "firm" numbers on what we can do for 10-20, and also final numbers on what exactly the 20+ price would be by tonight, then we can make a decision as a group. Is there anyone else considering a second-pair?
I have had my head in "heat-sink" land for the last couple of weeks, (Sonars), but I am taking a small break from this for the week so I can prepare for our annual 24-hour paintball-tournament this weekend, lots of "prep-work". ;D

I'll go for a second pair whether or not someone wants it on "layaway" or not. It can be for a friend to watch, or I can sell it later if needs be.

Sorry :( I really hate to do this but I've decided I'm going to need something with just a little higher OD for red so I'm going to end up going with two separate pair. Please remove me from the list. Thanks.

I will be extending the deadline for adding GB participants to this GB until August 25th, to hopefully get a few more on board, (it was originally today). All funds will have to be collected by Thursday August 28th so the order may be placed by the end of the month.

Re: **Multi-wave Goggles GB- ML7's from OEM**

if its only a 5% discount for 5+ then its kinda pointless. your going to pay that much for shipping once he gets them. DH was trying to save us money. not take it from us. if it goes down like that we may as well just buy them ourselves straight from OEM.

Re: **Multi-wave Goggles GB- ML7's from OEM**

Ok, so I did my homework and here are the final numbers:

If I bought a single pair of ML-7s, they would cost me $151 shipped to my house, (after the 7.5% LPF-discount) I would not have to pay PP-fees, so that would be it. This represents a "base-line". You can add a pair to your shopping cart at OEM's web-site, to see if it is the same for you.
If we go forward with this GB  the following price would apply shipped to your door in the US,  This includes the PP-fees I have to pay when you guys send me a $140+ payment and postage to you in the US, $2 more for international.
5-goggles=$141
   10-goggles=$137
   20 goggles=$134
DH

Prices have been updated as of 8-21 to reflect OEM's price reduction and use of Google checkout to reduce costs.
Ok everybody, Here are the updated prices with OEM's new price reductions, and using "Google Checkout" exclusively As of 8-21-08 (I have updated the first-page also). ;D
As a reference, here is what it would cost for any of us to purchase and ship a single-pair of ML-7's directly from OEM:$146
5-goggles=$134 ($12 savings per pair)
   10-goggles=$130  ($16 savings per pair)
   20 goggles=$128  ($18 savings per pair)
As before, these prices are shipped to your door in the US, or $2 more for international.

Hmm, that is a good point... For 10 goggles (which is probably what it'll be), it's a $10 savings, which equates to about a 7% discount, but with a lot of work on your part. I'm thinking, just to avoid all the hassle for you DH, if we don't get enough folk for 20 or so this month we should just scrap it.

Frothy Chimp helped me out with the online account, and also offered us an additional-discount that will save us a couple of dollars per pair, thank you FC, I have updated the prices.
At 20 pairs it is worth it, less than that we will have to decide when the time comes, but now we are working with "firm-numbers"

Re: **Multi-wave Goggles GB- ML7's from OEM**

I have been trying to think of how to save some money, and the PayPal fees are the most signigicant, over $4 for you guys to send me $140, if we went with Google-checkout it may save us like $2-$3 per pair. I will check into how much GCO would cost us for sure.
I don't mind the extra-work, in fact most of that is already done and I am going to order a pair no matter what so it is really more important to me to know that more people have good googles. We will never legitimize this hobby if we have even a few of us show up with burned-retinas.
I remember being involved in paintball in the early years, we had to prove that we had the fewest injuries of any sport before the insurance and parents would let the sport grow, and now look at it, (paintball has fewer injuries than golf!).
