@styropyro: Thanks for the source! Indium will now be $1.00 per gram, with no minimum order quantity. (Remember, any indium that is not bought up is now mine, and I have to account for that in the prices. Sorry.) Also, gallium does happen to be quite "sticky"...I wish it were more like mercury when it is liquid, actually, but I guess stickiness can make for some cool stuff too.

When will you be taking orders (assuming everybody has their gallium)? I'd love to get this stuff ASAP. Right now I'm planning on getting a 12.5g ingot of indium, ~10g of gallium, a pound or so of bismuth, and some tin depending on prices. Something about soft metals with low melting points intrigues me.

I picked up my Gallium last Friday from the post office.

Seeing as a lot of you guys want to make galinstan alloy, tin will definitely be included. Have you ever seen/made tin "crying" sticks? They're a lot of fun.

Did you make the alloy yourself?
I mean if I get some Indium and some Tin- do I just measure the right amount and then just mix them?
Would that require melting them all? If so - how and in which vessel do you melt metals that melt at >150 degrees celsius?

This is actually quite an interesting process. Liquid gallium has a tendency to alloy with other metals by touch alone, and this is what happens. All you need to do is melt the quantity of gallium you need and simply place the solid forms of the other metals in the liquid gallium blob. Keep the gallium at about 30*C and it will take care of itself.
If you did, however, want to melt these metals, I have heard that you can do it in a normal pot on a stove-top. I have not verified this, however.

You can also make crying bars out of indium that bend easier, tin is way cheaper though.

Sounds good. I'm not so sure about the iodine yet, but I'm looking into it. Unfortunately, things are looking down. Iodine can be hard to get, and you get put on a watch list for simply ordering it, as it is used in the synthesis of drugs (even though iodine itself is not illegal). But I'm trying!
EDIT: Did some research on the laws regarding iodine. It is very closely regulated, too much so for me to feel comfortable selling it. I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to take iodine off the list.
