I've been reading all I can abt lasers for a week+ or so, along with the multitude of YT vids, many from members here, with my son for our project. I found the forum and saw the "co-op" deal and 2 possible no takers. I emailed styropyro abt them. I joined the forum just after that, since I plan on being around, and after reading the rules it seemed I was wrong to do that. It should have been in the thread, so I posted my request openly here. I didn't want to get off on the wrong foot being new. ;)

I did pick up a couple LM317's since I think mine was bad.

I'm packaging these now, turns out these sleds are bigger and I can only fit 5 in a flat rate box. That means orders of 10 or more won't go priority mail.

I may PM people who I've already talked to asking for info because I simply cannot remember every detail, so please bear with me.

On a side note I feel sorry for the poor lady that runs my post office of a town of 700 on Monday, I'll be shipping more packages than the rest of the town combined for the week. :D

Oh BTW, some of these sleds are in yellow boxes and some in blue boxes, there is no difference between these. One or two packages may have a mix of each.

Yes, it is not fun, and it's expensive too, because those mirrors are hard to align perfectly without some ultraprecise adjustable mirrors. Morgan's UV-cured epoxy mounting does give some hope for less expensive permanent mounting thought.

I know for now I'm not in on the GB, still keeping fingers crossed!
USPS Priority Mail vs 1st class takes the exact same time most instances to where I live in rural Ohio. Same person has sent me stuff both ways and they took the exact same number of days. Abt $2 cheaper 1st class though. They were both using the smallest $5 Flat Rate box or the non Flat Rate box same size.

Back to reading and learning in the threads! Great info on this forum all. ty

So I could probably use the cubes out of the blueray sleds knife edge them then shoot the array into a reverse 10x beam expander? Dosent sound all that expensive but if it works that way I'm going to do it that way. Thanks for the info. For 7 of these diodes that would be like 300mw x 7 =2.1w x 70% efficiency after mirrors/lens = around 1.5watt red laser:)

Remember that the smaller the beam size, the larger the divergence, so see how much mileage you get out of it. Sometimes a big fat death beam is cool too.

I'm shipping about 75% or so of the packages today. This is all of the quantities of 5 and 20 to the US. Some of the 10 to the US are going out to. No international packages are going out today.

All orders of 10 to US are killing me on shipping because I thought they fit in a flat rate box and they don't. Depending on how much extra international costs I may ask for a few extra bucks for shipping.

^ Thanks for the condolences ha ha.

International customers: I simply cannot eat the shipping with these sleds so I am offering you three choices:

1. For no extra fee I will extract the red and IR laser diodes in their heatsinks and send them to you without the rest of the sled. This saves shipping weight.

2. If you need the whole sled you can pay $5 extra for actual shipping costs.

3. You can request a refund and I'll sell the sleds off. It was my fault for charging the wrong shipping so if you don't like these choices you can get your money back.
