I don't believe this! I speak to people who have done this thing with me before and they are excited about buying them until I ask if they actually will. I regret to say I can't find anyone I know to buy these...

which is weird because they are so fun!

bumpity bump bump... someone recently PMed me about ebay magnets at $0.19... unfortunately $0.02 more expensive than DealExtreme's and only available in large quantities. :p
So if we can find orders for 400 more then we have them at $0.41 each or $41 for 100.
Come on, $41 bucks for so much fun!

While watching one of the videos, I had an epiphany. . . . . .I'm in for 200

I just hope someone else ponies up soon enough for me to have them in my hot little hand before May21st

heh sorry about that PM, I didn't know you had them cheaper, but I was idly perusing e-bay and thought of the throwies.

If i wanted just magnets could I order some of those too? this is of course in addition to the actual throwies, but if I could buy 200 more magnets I would be very happy (that'd be $34, right?)

I'll take 200. :)

For how long do they glow? According to my calculations it should be 3 days assuming 225 mAh capacity of the CR2032 and 3mA current draw (max continuous current specified for the CR2032).

Mine have often lasted over a week, although they do begin to substantially dim after 3 or 4 days. My longest one was about 2.5 weeks ( 3000 MCD, 5mm UV LED, 2.8V-4 V running on one CR2032) Not that it should matter, but it was stuck to a cold water pipe about 30 feet up in my school's gymnasium.

You can just buy 200 magnets yourself from DealExtreme. 10 of the quantity 20 units is enough for their 10+ discount.

Okey dokey then. It seems we've hit 1000. Now I want more. :(
Any chance we could get to 1500? Should i even ask? :/
pleeeease...??? ::)

Well if we can't get to 1500 then I'll just have to hang out with my 100 of them. :p
I'll sort out a payment system at some point.

No worries. I certainly don't wan to close anyone out of this GB. My only real concern is that the event where I am going to utilize them is the last week of May. I have no control over the dates of the seminar. I leave on May 27th.
