Hi there everyone. So I understand that everyone knows that dr.lava is out of LavaDrives. I have burned 3 of them out and I have no idea how. They wont push anything anymore. Either way, I am looking for one or more if anyone has extras laying around.

Thanks.

yeah. super weird how they stopped working. The diodes just started getting flickery and i assumed my host was shorting it out or something. I pulled the diodes and they were all fine, and tried to reconnect the drivers and couldnt get a wink out of them. Was only pushing 3.0v through them too.

on a side note, i probably should have put this thread in Buy/Sell/Trade

If there was a problem with the lava drive wouldn't you want to know what happened before ordering more . This drive is very rugged and I've abused them pleanty
with diodes dropping out , but never a drive. Maybe you could PM Dr. lava to see if there is some sort of citical
component failure that should be investigated. Doubtful ,but diodes get expensive and the thought of pitching one cause you didnt
think to try it out only later to find out it was the driver would be a fail. :(.

You know, this isn't the correct forum for such a request. The Buy Sell Trade forum would probably be better. If your lavadrive burned out it was probabably because it was turned on when something was not connected to its output when powered on, which can burn it out.

yeah. i already noted that. check up a few.   will they burn out without overheating? i havent had any overheating issues yet 3 of them remain dead.

Just saying... my lavadrives get fickery when the battery gets low.

i've been using brand new batteries. The flickering occurred when i was running my 6x in my kyrton barrel. The battery (TrustFire 18650 2400mAh) was used. I took it apart to investigate and hooked up a one ohm resistor to test the mV output and it wouldnt do anything. All three reacted the same. I have much experience with using the lavadrive and have never experienced any issues with them except for when used in combination with the trustfire 18650.
