Necessary Update!

My printer isn't getting back to me and is honestly a bit out of the way... so I found another printer and got some quotes. Prices are pretty similar and I got a GITD sample, so I will test that out over the weekend and get some results.

THIS ink is a light GITD green color instead of the flourescent yellow... but we CAN mix in some yellow he said if we want.

Well after some initial testing tonight, here are the results:

In both cases, I charged the ink for about 3 minutes under 9 UV LEDs at about 4V ~ 300mA

Original Ink
Initial Glow is very good.
Glow drops from 100% to an estimated 70% in the first minute.
Glow drops seemingly linear from (70%)1 minute to (30%)10 minutes
Glow is near gone or completely gone at 15 minutes.

New Ink
Initial Glow is Very Good.
Glow drops from 100% to an estimated 90% in first minute.
Glow drops seemingly linear from (90%)1 minute to (70%)5 minutes.
Glow drops from (70%)5 minutes to (50%)25 minutes.
Glow drops from (50%)25 minutes to (30%)35 minutes.
Glow drops from (30%)35 minutes to (10%)40 minutes.
Glow is barely visible at about 45 minutes.

Main differences in inks are Original ink contains fluorescent yellow pigment - the new ink has natural GITD pigment (a light pale yellow green). We can add color to the new ink but it may affect the endurance of the glow.

I hope this helps.

Oh great news is, this new ink with the new printer will cost the same, and they happen to get the same shirts/polos/hoodies.

I would like to know if everyone would like to use this new ink with the pale yellow green color and longer brighter glow, or if you would rather have fluorescent yellow with less glow.

Can you take a pic of how the new more pale yellow looks?

Also Idk about other's but with some huge expenses coming up right now, I'm gonna have to hold off until at least mid january.

Still interested... but between having to settle a lawsuit, vacation, back taxes, and some recent doctors bills I'm strapped for cash right now

Yeah I wasn't planning on ordering til Mid January anyways. I’m going out of town today, but I’ll take a picture of the pale yellow greenish sample I got. It’s on white paper but the color of the ink itself is what it will look like. Maybe I’ll just photoshop it onto a black background…

Old GITD Charging in UV. Taught my son importance of protecting his eyes!

So this is the new GITD ink. As you can see, it's a regular GITD standard color of a pale yellow/greenish.

In my earlier post, I listed some tests I did with this sample vs the shirts we had printed with the fluorescent yellow GITD ink.

Unfortunately, we don't have enough orders to do both, so we need to choose which we would like better.

Longer Brighter glow times with a pale tint color of ink

OR

Fluorescent Yellow with shorter dimmer glow times

I'll give votes a week and then I'll start sending out total amounts with shipping. Hoping to print by February!

I'm in agreement. Already have two of the old GTID and one of the regular now glow variety... so for this order, longer brighter glow times definitely.

I still need to do the freaking measurements though to figure out the sizing.

The old version 2X polos were a perfect fit for me.

Oh, and at the moment i'm kinda broke... hopefully that situation will ease up by the end of the month.
