Well, to satisfy both parties, maybe Scopeguy can see what CNI would charge for them in his GB. He has the 589s listed; maybe the 593s can be as well.

I've been in contact with CNI over the past couple weeks inquiring about several products.
On Thursday I was told that at the moment CNI only has 2mW 593.5nm available.

Did they say how much they were?

Sorry, I did not ask for a price.
However... Laserglows pricing for the 589nm GLPs (Rigel HV) is not much more than what CNI quoted me for the same unit.

I would think that Laserglow's pricing with the discount would be close to if not the same as CNI's pricing.
My reasoning is -- If LG needs to get rid of their stock, they will probably sell it for the cost from the manufacturer at minimum. I don't think they would sell it below cost, since no company wants to take a loss.

I can ask the CNI rep if you would like, but they don't answer emails on weekends. It will have to wait until Monday (tomorrow).

Thanks for the info, RA_Pierce. To be quite honest, I didn't think the GB would be going this slow, but it's not really a big deal. Can someone with a lot of GB experience give me an idea on whether or not they think this GB still has a chance to pick up? I sure hope so :san:

I don't have experience organizing GBs, but from what I see on the forum these days, this one might be slow going.

Most of the attention is on 445nm at the moment and as was stated above, yellow lasers are items only die-hard collectors will be interested.
The "casual" hobbyist is only interested in burning things.

~5mW of yellow at >$300 a piece is not going to get a ton of interest in a hobby dominated by 15 year old boys (not that there is anything wrong with 15 year old boys).

I would be in on this one, but I am getting a 589nm GLP from CNI.

burning is overated lol. the idea that your laser can burn stuff is cool, but not too impressive when it comes to it in reality lol. beam visibility is always good, but atm i'd really like just a nice coloured pointer. I might lend it to my physics lecturer, he always uses a dodgy 1mW red lol. be pretty cool if I got him to use a different colour for every day of the week. dont think my 445 will be good for pointing though, probably just the glare off the screen will make it unreadable, and the laser could overheat

Hmm...thinking about this one. I have a <2mW I got from Pseudonomen about three years ago. Might be nice to get a brighter one...
