*sigh* No, I didn't get a delivery all day, and I specifically took the day off from work and school so that I could be here to get the package. I call ups and they have no package in thier system to my address. sounds to me like the manufacturer didn't mail it after all.

=/ hmm. Did you find a slip saying that there was a delivery attempt made? Or were you just guessing that they tried to deliver somrthing when you weren't there.

Will there be another Kryton GB in the future? I'd like to get my hands on some of those fine barrels.

You will be waiting a long time! Almost 7 months from the time this GB started to the time I got my barrel! It was definitely worth the wait! (and price)

I'm in the same boat, I just missed the first GB by a week or two, so I've been waiting over a year and still don't have one yet.

But I'm really looking forward to them.

I check this thread all the time, hoping there are shipping.

Feel like a little kid:
"are we there yet? are we there yet? are we there yet?"

Oh well. soon!!!!!! right kenom????

Man... is this normal business practice for anodizers or any type of customer manufacturer? Ie, promising dates they can't keep, avoiding the customer when they want to know anything, generally giving little to no information about progress or schedule and all this when they have money in-hand?

I mean, I know this wasn't a full-scale production where they were making tens of thousands on it, but you'd think they could be a little less flaky and more business-like about it.

Can't say I know anything about what is available, but does it make you consider using a new anodizer in the future or is this about "as good as it gets"?

Hey, just saw this thread and I might be interested. Is the information on the OP all up to date and representative of what I'd be buying? Also, what's the current queue like for a black anodized Kryton?

Re: Laser Barrels V2. GB. Second run. Kryton Groov

Yes rckstr it is NOT usual for this kind of behaviour. It's going to prevent me from using this anodizer for future orders. There are other anodizers out there that will get orders done a little bit more timely, and return calls when they say they will, and ship orders when they say they will. and the list goes on.... I mean for f*ck's sake, it was told about 2 - 4 weeks TOPS. it's been MONTHS. MONTHS!!!! I do still owe him $200. I've also indicated to him that the remaining money cannot be paid to him until I have those barrels in hand and can figure out how many excess I have and sell them. It's in his interest to get those to me quickly one would surmise.

Well, I now know how to anodize the basic colors myself and is only the customs that need to be done by an anodizer. However one of the instructions I've looked at when purchased does spell out how to do the custom anodized stuff as well. considering how easy these are to do by yourself, it baffles me as to why he's taking so long.

I was told that part of the delay is they purchased a plating business locally and incorporated that operation into thier current business. Since they are a small business with only 2 employee's they needed to pull those employee's to move over all the equipment.

I don't know what to do about this anymore. It's just one stupid delay after another. If I didn't have other people's money tied up in these ventures and didn't have people waiting for thier products, it really wouldn't be that much of a problem. but I do!! I've at least been able to partially ship out some orders.

Ok, so this is definitely out of the ordinary for these things, then.  That's pretty crappy that they don't seem to be putting much effort into your (our) orders  :-/  You'd think they'd be able to inform you of such "complications" to let you know ahead of time, but they probably wanted your money so they conveniently "forgot" mention it  ::)

Oh well, should be soon enough that we'll all have them happily in our hands  :)
