TOOL TIP:
A small 3$ hemostat (surgery instrument) works great on the internal C-Clip Kenon includes in the kit.
?
I measure .3 ohm on the clickyswitch; contact to the spring is half of it tested with several of my good DVMs.
Maybe its nothing to concern.
Anybody else here get that resistance?
I have not run LASER current though yet so it may diminish to zero ohms.
I hate resistive energy loss.

Well, I like to resonate coil/cap tanks to >100% but that's out of the question costwise.
I'm researching COOL bifillar magnet exotic Tesla type circuits now and can't pull myself away to finish building a fixture to assem my blue&green crystals/TEC laser kits.

Coating tip:
I learned a long time ago, (I worked at a place that painted soapwashed alum)if you don't zinc chromate prime alum first; paint will peel.
Those who do not anodize should heed this warning.
Anyway laserist, get a promise from paint vendor on painting alum..
Things might have changed since the 80's. Then I flew all over the world without being humiliated by airports.
If your carry more than 3oz of water forget it.

Just solder the negative pin and the case pin on the diode together. Bend the case pin over so that it touches the negative pin and solder your negative contact on the driver to both. You could also just allow the solder on the negative pin to flow down onto the diode, but I try to keep the diode as cool as possible. The negative comes through the barrel that way.

I finally managed to make it down to my apartments management office to get my package,.. It made it on 10/14. They look awesome, can't wait to get them put together.
