Great videos. I already made a DVD so I can watch it on my tv. Thanks for putting that together!!! [smiley=dankk2.gif]

As a newb, I wish you would have included soldering the flexdrive to the diode and how to set the voltage. I'd like to make my own build but I'm a little foggy in that area. :-[

I've spent way too much time looking through the threads. At least that's what my wife says. If there is already a video out there a linky would be much appreciated.

Gah! If I were to include the tuning of the driver and attachment as well it would have been longer than a half hour!!!! some things can't be shown very well. LOL

have you tried a search to shorten that reading time? try "how to", for starters... I'd do it for you, but my "seat time" is limited - literally - and need to use it today for bill-paying

It probably sounds like I'm asking a lot, but let me be clear.  Your videos are awesome and very much appreciated. They provided an enormous insight. It's ironic that I was just chatting to daguin a few days ago about wishing for a build video.  Viola! To my surprise your vids popped up yesterday. I'm sure I could assemble one of these fairly easily thanks to your efforts. I just need a little more help in the technical/electronics area.  That's my problem not yours.  I won't cloud up this thread anymore (after this post). I'll search the "tutorials, help, repairs" threads and maybe post something there.

FWIW, I think a couple macro still shots with labels would take care of "attachment".  However, "tuning of the driver" is probably something I would need a video to feel comfortable with.  I'm sure there must be a video somewhere around here.  I'll keep looking. Meanwhile if someone has a link to a video or detailed tutorial please PM me.

Really, Kenom, thanks for the hard work. I haven't been on this forum for very long, but it doesn't take long to realize that you are an asset to this community.

i was waiting to post about that, 'till I could post a shot with my new driver, but got hung up with a technical difficulty: learning a whole new technology (PLD's, PICCs, etc). It's gonna be cool but will take a while longer...

It is not as daunting as it seems, especially if you are going to use a pre-made driver (flexdrive, Rkcstr, etc).  When you are ready we can easily walk you through it.  You can start by reading the "manual" for the drivers:

I got the 2 un anodised ones, came pretty quick, Had alot of fun putting everything together.

Planning on getting them both dipped in Chrome. should be sexy.

Anyways thanks. i got 3 barrels now, 2 kryton groove and a smoothey  ;D

So im gonna use them for a special laser, im gonna wait for my green laser module and put in into the kryton barrels and the other will be for the 6x BR diode last one is for the 20x open can, and until i find somthing better, i'll keep the red diode in it .
