Haha. But isn't it nice to go out back and spin yourself up a quick heat sink?

It definitely comes in handy... Last time I used it was when I was doing GITD on the focus adapters. I made a threaded attachment to put onto my drill, so I could screw the focus adapters onto my drill and spin them against a cloth of acetone to remove excess epoxy.

That's a good idea! I just put a little on a q-tip wet it then rubbed off the extra worked perfect.

Does anyone know how much tritium viles to fit these Grooves would cost? The cool factor may not outweigh the price of the GITD.

i'll should be able to do those GITD rings but instead of making rings they will be inserts. and I can't wait to give them mirror finishes.

Yeah, you're already on my list if the tritium doesn't work out. I don't quite remember your quote though. I'll PM you.

I've got one of the boxes (my sister does anyways)
I'll post pictures when she returns with it.
The other box is delayed for some reason.....
looking at the weight, it should contain half of the grooves, so it will be enough to send out all the orders. Extras should arrive Monday...hopefully

Alright I have grooves! Bad thing is, I only have 5.6mm grooves! They shipped all the 5.6mm in one box, and all the 9mm in another box.

But here is the finished product!

As you can see, they are very neatly packaged.

Each groove is individually wrapped.

The machining is very nice and clean, no obvious machine marks.

I've played with this one a little (and dropped the head :( ) This photo is of the lens hole of the direct diode head.

Beautiful threads. These krytons are so clean, they need a little grease to keep from squeaking when you thread the parts on.

This is the back side of the head and the diode pocket for 5.6mm diodes.

Battery tube and tail cap (Head and focus adapter not pictured)

This is the top of the barrel where the driver will be located. The ring you see inside is part of the barrel and stop the battery from sliding too far.
k8.jpeg

This is the battery end of the barrel. 19mm diameter. It was changes from 19.3mm on the original for easier machining, and 18650 batteries still fit very nicely.
k9.jpeg

The inside of the tailcap. This is where the rubber tailcap cover, nylon spacer, clicky switch, and retaining ring will go. These parts are all included with your Kryton.
k10.jpeg

The outside part of the tailcap. In the center will be the rubber tailcap cover, similar to a regular flashlight.
k11.jpeg

Focus adapter. There is a groove there for a O-ring to give a smoother feel to the focusing. I do not have these o-rings, so you'll have to supply your own.

Beam aperture/front portion of the focus adapter.
