Kryton GB round 3! MULTIPLE HOSTS!

I haven't posted much in a while,

But I'm still interested in this.

I've done the groove, but I'm still in for at least one beast if and when.

Ok folks sorry so much for the long wait. This thing is back on track. I've finally taken a class that allows me to design my own stuff in Pro-engineering Wildfire. As such, I've been busy playing around with some ideas for the Kryton Beast. Now, the dimensions in this render are a little off, so it's NOT FINAL.
but, that being said, here is a first look at the beast design thus far.

As far as the classic kryton groove goes. I would love to have one of them. These are now classics, and only pop up from time to time. The last few, that have showed up. Were sold as completed builds, also usually when I have been broke as well

I've got a couple more coming in the next week or so. We'll see if we can't work something out for you.

I'll also be making some more of the Kryton grooves with this order as well. I want to see this be a reality very soon. Just a matter of finding someone that has teh capacity of doing a revolved groove with a 5 Axis mill. Even if I can't find anyone in a reasonable time, we will go ahead with the GB just without the beasts. This allows me to pay back those that I still owe barrels.

I've also decided that I'm going to have a straight groove in the middle of the host. The groove will spin like it does, stop for about 20-30mm, then continue around it's radial cut again. This will allow for the barrel to be "cut" in half at this point and make a Extension tube for 2 18650s. If you want to run it shorter, uscrew the extension and you'll be set.

At this point the only way I've incorporated all 3 of the diodes I'd like has been to have one removable adapter for the 2 smaller diodes. Screws into place to continue to utilize a very large thermal mass for heatsinking and with the screws making better thermal contact than a set screw to hold it in place. Imagine if you will a lens that you use a spanner to screw down into a green laser. That lens would be the adapter.

Oh I wanted to comment on the gap between the fins on the pictures. Those are actually two independant parts and that is where they screw together. So your not seeing any fins there because it will screw together there and align the fins.

i would certainly be interested in 2 or 3 grooves marble anodise and if the beast is a go i want 1 of those to :yh:

Ok. Since this thread is SOOO old, I'm going to start a new thread. I don't want to do this but going through this thread and weeding out who wants what after so long is just going to be a pain in everyones asses. I will link to a google document that will have all the information in it as far as who wants to order and how many.

What's the current price of a basic BEASTie ?

We communicated via gmail for a long time. He kept saying he'd pay me when he got the money. Then he eventually stopped responding.
Clearly he still has money for laser related stuff! so where's my return money? (I say return money, but it was no return. He simply sent my barrels to someone else and took my money)
