Sounds good hak! I'm going to have to sit out this GB this time, but I'll probably be back for the next one with a beam expander or two and maybe a couple of pens. Really interested in the 10x and the 20x beam expanders, especially if JL can make 20x beam expanders for a good price. Just hope the optics are up to par...

AFAIK they are either the same or better PL-Cs as improvements have been made. Buy 10 green or Br pointers and no two may give the same output. Prices on PL-Cs have come down some but quality will be the same. When you get your LPM pics you still have the option of declining the final shipping and get 100% refund. If you can come with a better/fairer way to do it I am open for suggestions. In DPSS lasers crystal alignment is one factor in output. And this is not an exact science if I understand it correctly. I look fwd to discussion of these matters, but unrealistic expectations are just that. If you want 400+mWs from a 532 i suggest you get the 300mW or larger. We all got a nice break on shipping for GB#3- Cost to ship a 15lb box of PL-C and Tis Express is nearly or over 100$ and this had to be done 3 times due to the need to return some for adjustment. Gray and JETL covered that without hesitation, as it should, at least for the return and subsequent 3rd shipping (on the way btw- left HongKong today)

HERE IS A SNEAK PEEK OF THE PL-G- Gray sez it has multi-modes with pulse (and of course CW) and something very similar to the spyder smart switch. The finish will not wear off (lile the spyder) and you will not find any Al bits/shavings /etc inside (like some did in thier spyders) and the overall look will be very professional. The spyder I saw looked quite crude which if what I heard is true(WL paid less than $5 per host) and understand why. You get what you pay for. I know no other details ATM. This is not a photo of the PL-G but rather an artists/designer rendering. I like the look.

TYPO cost is $350 all 532 IR filtered


The price of 35$ is of course a typo(not mine btw) I think he meant $350.
YES of course all 532s have quality IR filters.

**************UPDATE******** Great newz for Whodunit

The PL-C 445/1000 is now using two 16340 batts and not the 18650 that I tested it with.

Just now tested again w/ the correct batts and it peaked at nearly 1.2W and the focus is as good as it gets with any 445 I have seen. This is the last laser needing to be fwded for GB#3 so #4 is definetly moved fwd to the 'make your selection' phase.

The timeline for my (and most all GBs) is not always e z to nail down but have no fears, my friends, GB #5 will happen.

The time to pay will be, as in the past JETL GBs, determind by how many have committed and are ready to pay. I apoligize to any that this causes any inconvinence.
Its a trade-off----- in some cases those sent out in later GBs have been improved and can be gotten at a lower price. Just as they have for GB#4


Most will be happy with the 532/150 I have seen and tested one- extremely bright, overspec and the lowest price PL-C AFAIK. The 532/250 is still my personal FAV.

Spec and availibility questions need to be sent to Gray via PM or in his thread. The user name is JETLASERS.

I am still not completely clear on the Titaniums. contact Gray.



I feel confident that the focus on the 405/500 is solved and I am certain they will be overspec. The 405/800mW is now off the table but, it MAY return, prolly listed as 700mWs. BUT IDKFS:rolleyes:


For now I am still not wanting to do these GBs for those not in CONUS or Canada (and the will be a slightly bigger ship charge to there)

ALSO any having already received the 405/800 and wanting any adjustments must contact Gray. I will fill out the way-too-long customs forms and mail them to you with tips for the best packing method- You will only need to send the front half of your laser(no tail cap) and it MUST be shipped by USPS/EMS EXPRESS.
Afaik Gray wil re-emberse the cost of that.
Check with Gray to be sure.

Time to make your choices for GB#4- best method for payment will be USPS MOs- Those insisting on PP must pay the extra cost( BTW PP is not much help if you get scammed but your purchase is NOT from FeeBay-PP is owned by Feebay)

Ask any previous buyers from GBs 1-2 or 3--that paid by MO- you will find no issues.

Shipping MUST be paid after I get your items here and PP (as personal pymt owed) can be used. I need home addy and personal Email from all. Shipping includes insurance-tracking and signed confirmed delivery. Unless arrangements are made in advance I do not ship to PO boxes- preferring to use your confirmed PP home addy. No sales to minors.

all lasers (except mine) are either delivered or on the way for GB#3.

Confirming choices NOW for GB#4 any not quite ready are invited and have reserved spots for GB#5.

Well, it might be the cheapest, but it doesnt get you the best mW/$ ratio. Where do i find a picture and description of these?

Sorry to hear about the batteries, was thinking a possibbly 445 as well, but would like to stick to 18650 for all lasers

Why? There are much better batt's than 18650's, just because they are "common" doesn't mean there the best. 32600's 26650's I like better. Bigger, and longer run times

Hak, I want the Pl-c 250 still, and it says the new price is $269, is that correct

How come i see on your list of people that are interested in this GB are paying more that the price you specified for the GB?

The prices just got lowered after we told him what we were looking for, so you can not count on these old prices and the payments hasn't begun yet :beer:

Good choice.

Read the entire OP for the new prices- they are what ALL will be paying.
I have sent out dozen+ JETL 532s and all have been overspec. I will add you to the GB#5 list. watch this thread for updates and timeline.

Hi would really like some info about what a Beam Expander would do for high powered lasers, with not so good beam characteristic, like the 445 and 635nm.

Put me down for a plc 635nm 400-500mw and a plc 445 >1000mw also :)
Then i will see for myself what a 10X BE will do for them :lasergun:
