I am looking to buy some diffraction gratings from jetlasers. How much would they be in this GB (if it is offered) and is it alright to use them with a 1W 445nm laser?

Gray will give you a GB price and yes- you can use them with any laser . they are made of glass, quite large, about the size of a microscope slide--
-- I cut one into three pieces and if put two together you double the effects. I can re-ship them for the cost of a stamp. After you get a price from Gray fwd it to,me and I can ship you some now-- I already have some here at 77422. I will PM you my PP addy.

I would also arrange shipping some to Len next time.

Anyone know how well the 800mW 405s should hold up under that kind of power? If they have a half-decent lifespan, I'd go for an 800mW instead of my current 500.
