Gray, is 473 going to be available still after all is said and done with the 405s? Needed some time because of the price increase -- but still interested.
Yes, the 473nm will be available after 405s is done, Aryntha. Now a lot of 200mw/300mw 635nm PL-Cs are available. :)

Hey you´ve mixed this up a bit Laser Outputing 520mw to 500mw ;)

So you say you´re using Correction optics in these builts?

Beam Divergence, Full Angle (mrad) 1.5-3mrad
Beam Diameter @ Aperture ~ 1.5-3mm at the aperture

--> That´s awesome for this WL and power!

200-300mW 635nm PL-C ...Interesting... Square beam, i'm guessing, or no?

Once the current GB gets delivered you will see 5 (or more) reviews on the PL-C 405.

lots of time before GB #4

glad to have you in the next one.

Got Email from Gray today, he came back 2 days early from holiday to work on our shipment. So we should be getting some newz very soon, PMs w/ our tracking # will go out a soon as I get it. I already have the chargers, tailcaps- keys-glasses and free gratings. So all we need are the Tis and the biz ends of the Pl-Cs--

thanks to all for being understanding about the delays. If you read up on the 12X diodes you can see that trying to get us 800mWs was maybe a little over-zealous.

It did not help that a JETL tech got the 10X and 12x DIODES mixed up so the techs were building 500s when Gray wanted the 800s done first..

I too am happy to hear that a GB#4 is probable-- especially in light of the 635nm PL-Cs -- That nm of Red is awesome.

Also... still super happy with the PL-C 250/532s-- way overspec and a great deal at $325. The one Matt got peaked at 440mWs. Mine are a stable average +325 mWs. Run time of 5 min should not be a problem, but I like to keep it at 3 min or less.

and they are in stock with key removable option ready to go.. charger/glasses included.

Hak, Gray --

Do you guys know what output we should be expecting on the 405 PL-Cs, in that case?

Thanks, Hak!
I would not delay any minute when everything is ready. Except 405s and 445s, the ti pens(200mw 532nm and 20mw 635nm).

GB#4 is surely probable. 20+pcs PL-C 250MWs green were stocked for the holiday now. The beam profile much improved. At least rounded when the focusing part is adjusted to the end.

These days are the rush time when millions of labors begin to leave home for work mostly by train. The over-tensioned transport is phenomenal. Some guys are heading here to restart work next monday. :)

Thanks a lot for all the understandings about this delay!!

Hello aryntha, I need confirm it soon and according to what i heard before the holiday, 700mw or 750mw+ is the possible.

,,Just a note to help all understand what AFAIK the problem with the 405/800s entails.
Before JETL got thier first big batch of 12X diodes and sleds from Morgan, I sent Gray a link to the LPF data pool on the 12X diodes- many got ~800 mWs and a few around 900mWs and based upon that Gray, JETL and I all had high hopes that 800mWs would be a realistic goal and thus doable.

In hindsight perhaps a better goal may have been 700 or 750 mWs as we know JETL likes to delivery overspec units and thus have happy customers.

At the same time we all want 405 PL-Cs that will have a decent lifespan and run time. The differance to the human eye between 700 and 800 mWs is NOT noticable. The burning ability of a 700 mW BR laser is almost instantanious and 100 more mWs will make , for all pracitical purposes, no difference.

Most who build thier own projectors do not even try to include 405 as without BSC combining or knife edging two or more 12X diodes the beam is hard to see even with fog/smoke, due to the ability of the human eye to see that wavelength, especially when compared to DPSS green or 445nm.

I have a 110mW PHR- a 185mW 6X- a 440mW 12X and a 660mW 12X. When observing the dots a fairly big difference can be seen from the PHR and the 660 12X but from one power to the next--not very much.

but if you turn on even a 100mW DPSS green they all are drowned out.
405nm is best observed by itself( or with a red laser)- in total darkness-with a lot of fog- with the eyes totally dialated.

For spiro and lumia I have several old movie screens hanging on the far wall in my 'laser room' when I break out the 300+mW dpss greens and 445s I MUST put the screens up--way too bright- actually painful to look at and potentially harmful.

This all being said, please remember that anyone not liking the final results may . after receiving thier respective metering photo opt for a refund of the PL-C price.

hope all this has been helpful

I must say between Hak and Gray, you two go above and beyond what most other people or companys would even consider. I can't wait to be a part of one of these group buys! I am definately going to be ready for the next GB.

If anyone does not want to wait on GB #4-- I NEED $$ for my projector projects and will part with a 250/532 pl-c OVERSPEC at least 75mWs- w/ charger-18650-glasses and diffraction grating- NIB- 400$ shipped CONUS free.

pm if interested

Sorry hak, just received my overspec 400mW 532 yesterday. Average of around 675mW with peaks over 800mW, so I'm satisfied with that, at least for now.
