then you will enjoy... Our funds successfully wire transfered Wed afternoon... confirm should be Friday.. Gray mentioned that he may split the box to help prevent any 'issues'( tailcaps in one box- rest in another-- no complete lasers in any one box.. now we wait for the tracking... because its almost already the weekend there the box(s) may not be handed over to dhl til monday- its common for the weekend to fall into the middle of the money sending and the delivery.. make less differance for the dhl express part once they have it.. the banks--well we all have heard about 'Bankers hours'--

track# asap

Len

ps I will tell the two getting 700+mW 532nm ProPL-E .. you (& me too) will prolly use only the tube and either two 16850s or remove sleeves and two 26650s- the runtime on any single batt or a pair of 16340s will be short. TRY to buy button top batts. Explained in an earlier post.

That's what I was afraid of based on what I've read in other threads. However it's hard to tell since the avatars don't show "banned" under them and the ban information thread hasn't been updated.

I will say this that, I'm not worried about getting my laser from Hak. He has been a trusted member of this forum for a long time. I am a little concerned about him though as he hasn't responded to my email yet. He is normally pretty fast at returning PMs or emails.

Hak was a big asset to the community... I can understand that some action had to be taken by Ave, but I think it shouldn't be a permanent ban.
Hak ran so many group buys and was always helping people find the best deals. He always promoted the LEM's over here at LPF and tried to get the two communities together.

While I understand Avery's irritation over some members spamming for other sites, I think it really makes no difference in the grand scheme of things. I've seen many an angry member return after a ban, swearing that they are going to head over to some better community or another.

I always check them out and come right back here. There just isn't any critical mass at any of the other sites. There are never enough members or topics or sales or whatever. I think Avery would come out ahead by looking the other way and not worrying about it. By banning people, he actually creates a higher likelihood of those other sites gaining traction by forcing some members to go elsewhere.

I'm not telling anyone what they should do with their forum, just offering a little unasked for advice and perhaps a different perspective.

All I can say is that I never heard of this other site till this occurance.

I cant contact Hak here and with the GB still on going I need a way of keeping in touch with him.

It lead me to that "site".
Now isnt that what was trying to be prevented here?
The ban "pushed" me there. So in essence cold made me go there.
The total opposite of what was intended.

Just my worthless 2 cents.

Thats how I came to know that site also. It was when Jeff ''flaminpyro'' was perma banned. I like his services and value his friendship. So I followed him.

I understand what len did was wrong but to be perma banned is a little harsh.
We cant keep loosing our knowledge base:yabbem:

Have people been getting in touch with Len at this 'Other Site'? Because I wouldn't mind hearing some news about where my 680 bucks is...

This banning couldn't have happened at a more inopportune time for GB #7

I've been in touch with him briefly late last night. I don't have any information specifically about the group by yet though.

I really don't want to stir the pot on this but I believe Xeno is right; the more well respected members we lose here, the bigger the chance others will follow them.
