There will be no more orders, and there are no extras left, sorry :( If you look back at the date when this thread started, until now - I think it is the longest thread in history !

;D

Good reason too ;D

Everyone has to vent some way or another, i'd be pissed too, but relieved it's finaly over. How did you deal with the post office?

Earlier today i found out that the laser i've waited nearly seven weeks for got deliverd to someone else, even after i spent time emailing them to make sure it was in stock and in spec, then first they shipped me out the wrong laser, would not pay for its return so asked me to sell it and send them the cash to post the new one, so i sold it to myself for $10 (not bad for a 10mw green) i give them the cash then they go and post the replacement to someone who did not even order it. My email response LOOKED LIKE THIS < i vented like a guest on jerry springer. Once i'm refunded i'm gonna buy the new dx 20mw waterproof. a laser to use in the bath... who needs a rubber duck.

So in the end it kinda worked out for the best because the dx one is way better

My laser came! It looks great, but there is a vertical line through my dot :( Any ideas?

when it is set at that focusing spot - the line is fairly prominent...I did not adjust the focus on any of them, but if you turn the lense a little bit, to adjust it, the line appears to dim out some - and you can adjust it for close up burning, or for far away pointing.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. Right now it seems to be adjusted for far away pointing. This thing has a hell of a small divergence! I just have to find something that will fit in the notches to adjust it.

By the way, I got the trit vials too... THANKS!

holy S***!! These things are AMAZING burners. I was messing with the focus and got the focal point at about 1 ft from the aperture (the dot was about the size of the tip of a pin) anything, as long as it isnt white, goes up in smoke instantly. Needless to say at about 5 feet the dot is the size of my fist, but WOW!

My only wish now is that there was some sort of dial to adjust the focus on the fly...

Well I am glad its finally over for everyone and that the Laser's are all arriving at their final destinations. Just spare a thought for the noble person who stepped up to the plate and said I will be the one who will wait longer because of that 1 non operational laser so you could all recieve a nice 200+ Laser........

SenKat,
I received my stuff today and I can't thank you enough. :) I haven't played with the SenTorch much yet, but for anyone who is interested the beam diverges appx. 6 to 8 feet away from the laser. So at this distance is where it burns best with mine...I will play with the focus later but I can already tell this was well worth the wait.. :) Thank you.

P.S. Yes, the divergence is very, very nice...

Update: I can easily light a non-sharpied safety match at 7 feet. This proves without a doubt this thing has some awesome power. Next I will try lighting a white headed match from say maybe 2 feet. It is a pain to focus..lol. But the lens only needs to be focused just a little bit...maybe 1/16. of a turn counter clockwise for better distance burning, and just a little over 1/4 of a turn counter clockwise for close up burning.

Update 2: A white headed match will light instantly at 16 inches. If this was easier to focus, I could very possibly get it to light the match from a bit further. Suffice to say the SenTorch is very powerful.. ;)

Got mine too. it's bright and the divergance is good but the dot is HUGE. defintely needs to be focused to burn. I get a steady 185mw on the lpm-1. Stock right out of the plastic it won't light anything. sharpied or not I can't even smoke foam. It does however appear to go on forever and not diverge at all. I can hit a silo ~5 miles away and the dot is a pinprick compared to the rpl which is a big green dot.

I tired tape and yes after about 15 seconds it does start to smoke. No hole after 30 seconds, but lots of smoke. I have a 4.5mm diamter at aperture and it appears to be the same at 25 feet. the divergance is amazing. I need to get some good red glasses but I'm already home and my reds are at work.

It might be the focus on yours is just a hair bit different than mine. Turning the lens just a hair makes a huge difference.

I must be doing something wrong with mine. Two sets of fresh batteries and I don't get any detectable heat off the beam at all, much less burning anything.

If your trying to burn your hand then put a sharpie mark on it. You blood is red so the red light will be reflected ::) Red lasers with their wider beams need to be focused to a point and it will light matches and slice through black tape with ease. I have a Pulsar and the beam is about 5mm wide from the aperture and this is a characteristic with most red beams. So don't expect them to behave like green laser guys :)
