Would bump up but that's double the price...ouch.... I think I'll be happy after seeing Bruce's pictures of the 600mw. Plus under $200 ???? Yeah.

I guess you can upload PDFs so here are the two manuals. iirc the CTL-HM pages are slightly out of order. I think its meant to be stapled together and be a book.

yeah, the 1W has a better balance IMO but as we have all seen, the current power RGB ratio still gives a killer white beam and the rest of the beams are just amazing!

We cant argue with Brucemir's photos. Those are just killer and from a unit that costs us $187 shipped

The features of the 1W (HL) are what set it apart from the HM. IDLA can be a huge selling point to people looking to do custom laser shows. DMX can only get you so far but for me, its more than enough. Also the SD slot is a big point, you can continue to add/update designs and patterns that are downloadable from online (or designed by yourself)

Oh I didn't see all that. But I'll never go further than DMX. Scenes can be saved stored etc. I know you have to go through a couple button and restart process to delete them, so I assume it stores them even when turned off . I'm still getting used to making the pattern I want on command.

i many be in for the RGV (red green violet) 250mW is $165 shipped DHL- i would need to talk to my moms boss as it is for her dance studio- would this unit be effective for a decent sized dance studio? every night use, a few hours work load. ect.. thanks

also the RGB 280mW is $193 shipped DHL also looks good but is right at the budget max they gave me for this so that is about how high i would go..

IMO its better to go $22 more and get the RGB 600mW. Its $187 shipped and has a 450nm blue instead of the less visible 405nm purple. Plus you are the only one interested in the RGV 250mW so Im not sure if there would be a discount on the unit. Could be, but they really have given us a big discount on the 600mW unit. $22 more for over twice the power > more visible and more AWESOME!

In the end its obviously the buyers choice but thats just my 2 cents. As far as work load, they are intended for bars and clubs, which are open for how long every night? Dance studio doesnt seem like it would be too large for these, might be a little large for the 405nm but hard to tell. No one I know has that unit so I cant ask for personal experiences, while the 600mW unit is owned by Brucemir and he can confirm its amazing!

You have time to decide, Im waiting to hear one buyers choice on the 15th so hoping to send our order in on the 15th and then everyone get their invoices on the 16th, shipping by the 20th, arrive by like the 31st? Thats just a guess on shipping times. Hard to estimate delivery when the actual ship date is unknown. Once we have a ship date, it will be easier to see the arrival date.

Yea just read the rest of the posts and saw how it will be under 200 for such a good one-- so i may go with that- now that i know there is such a deal one it.. i will discuss it with the manager and likely get it for him- id imagine this one could handle a moderate work load. do you have a link to the info on that one ?

Hey,
To all you potential buyers of the CTL-HM, I can tell you when using the Sound Activated mode, my unit responds much better to sound the the PD2. I had both machines next to each other and set the PD2 to S9, and max sensitivity on the Casa. I placed my JBL Monster speakers equidistant to the units. I start with the volume at zero and as I increased the volume at small intervals, the Casa came on first every time. It would take a couple more pushes of the volume button to activate the PD2. It looked really cool with both units going to the sound. But in reality, I doubt it would that much different if both units were in Auto mode. I really don't care too much about Sound Mode but thought I would do a comparison.
I got a new camera today (Nikon D5200) and took some pics of the two projectors in my upstairs den to break in athe camera. Tonight is when the fun begins as it will be balls to the wall with the projectors, hand helds , and fog.

Brucemir, good to know. I was curious as to which had a better sound sensor and that's the answer. Also, keep ib mind everyone, the PD2 brucemir speaks of is the same one I reference as the $515 shipped unit from the othwr GB.

Woot woot more excited now. Can't wait for all the photos of these
