I know for a fact, that the chinese suppliers never once lied about what they were selling.
When they offered me 4x's, they offered them as 4x's. Only after i asked, did they say "same as 6x". Later i researched WHY they said this, and they showed me a photo, saying a customer sent them that photo, and together they decided that it LOOKS the same so it must be the same. (I explained several times, why the sled being the same means the diode can't be) But they still continued to sell the 4x's as 4x's, NOT as 6x's!
It later turned out, that the photo was from GooeyGus, who the customer was, i will never know.
When the "12x's" appeared, i asked about them immediatelly, i asked what the sled is. They said "we don't know". I asked again, they said "we don't know what it is". I asked a third time (not giving ANY suggestions), and they said "we don't know if they are 12x". (obviously someone else was suggesting this to them).
They are hard negotiators, they want to milk us for what we're worth, they may lie about stock to make us buy more faster at a higher price, but never once did they lie about WHAT they are selling.
The person, who told Amk that the Sanyo sled is 450xx was NOT one of the actual suppliers, but a middle man at best.
The original GB did say it is for 6x's, but it also said "the sleds come from a 4x writer" and that it is only "claimed to be same as 6x" on the first page. When i placed my order, i knew i was taking a risk, which is why i am not complaining about that part.
