Yes i remember but i dont know where. Everybody should of got the email and he must of got it first.
The default pic he has and the one Laser-jp sent me is 100% the same. And if he does not use it. im sorry if im wrong, But if the need arises and he does, the -neg rep was not necessary.

If your diode stays put at 160-170mW, it could be "safe". If it starts climbing, like two have so far, it will kill itself.
No one will know what is safe, untill we find a power they can take continously for at least several days. And even that would only hold true for those diodes, that don't climb in power with heat.
It's funny, but a diode that climbs with heat would survive inside a Blu Ray writer drive, because there they are driven at a constant power. If it suddenly starts putting out more, the driver will simply lower the current.[/quote]

From the immature behavior he has been displaying as of lately, you surely have my vote on this. Sorry Wes, you have a lot of growing up to do before you are ready to do business with adults. You continuously display your inability to mentally grasp the nature of business in real life. Business (and life!) is not fair. It IS survival of the fittest! AMK, Jake, and everyone else has the right to do whatever they want to make their position better. Underselling, and using someone else's sources is fair play. The ability to make a few bucks is a fair reward for making these GB's available to the rest of us.

Sorry to get off-topic here--even though I appear to be a new member, I have been lurking for quite some time. Having said that:
Wes, I am sure your intentions are good, but I feel you need to step back and review your motives in having your own GB. You aren't ready yet. Take in a little life experience first. If amk makes some money for his time, then FINE. You aren't even old enough for a job, much less questioning someone else for helping the community as a whole.

ya know someone could donate one of these diodes to Dr. Lava and he could put it on his super snazy setup. Do a lifelong test on it and do a supernice graph of the VI and such.

My first one died at 195mA, just as it was about to reach 190mW out (no lens).

l was not lying when I said Laser-Jp offered these diodes to me for about $60 each. In fact, I send them another e-mail now asking WTH is going on.
My supplier is not Laser-Jp. It is a personal acquaintance of a friend of mine.

I am hoping to get round three done and paid for by friday. That way They can be shipped from china by monday, and in my hands by at most thursday. I will then try to get em packaged sometime friday night, and send them out that saturday.
