Actually, they are two different beasts. If you want to compare with their lasers, it's more comparable to the $289 alpha 105, but that one doesn't have adjustable focus.

yea i know they're much larger and use different batteries - but come on the price is rather out there for what it is, not to mention all the added safety interlocks

It looks like you bought a PPL an painted it gold. Those inclued OD-4 safety glasses sound pretty sweet though.

may i mention that ALL THREE of the lasers I got in my first Blaze order have to be returned.
One has terrible diameter and divergence problems. (150mw green)
One is so far under power it compares to my 20mw DX 30. And flickers like mad. (250mw green)
One is even worse. (1W 808) Lorgar tells me his can BLACKEN skin. I have trouble getting this to light a match or even feel it on skin even at pinpoint focus.
Do you really want a laser like this? S-ky better step up their quality control.

Back to the quality. Hi bluefusion, the 150mw no focusable is maybe of a bigger beam size compare to the focusable units, we would like to change another one  for you be free. the 250mw with our promise is stands up to 250mw in 30seconds, if not, show us your test result to confirm, we can change for you too. For the 808nm portable, when it's on the way to you, I have explained  we just found a problem of it is that the aperture  maybe is not big enough because of the bigger beam size than 532 , also we are now designing new housing special for 808 and red portable.

I thanks for the  video on the youtube, it cautions us to strive to quality and donot stop ! However, it's the history of S-KY !

I always thanks to Dr lava's work of the GB of our 200mw green portable, with the dispute and praise to us, but now it's only a history to us too.

The 100mw portable we are going to sell is from 110mw - 160mw(according to the test result), focusable, add the gift box Betty showed here, also shipping cost to anywhere.   That's far more than a 100mw - 110mw unit only

I'll take some detailed test results and contact you privately Luke, thanks for being willing to help.
On the IR, the aperture is not a problem for me as the beam is thin even when focussed at infinity. It may just be some crud on the threads or something and I'll look into it in more detail later.

This is actually a pretty decent GB considering the closest thing to compare it to is the PPL for 400+ shipping, and the aries for 490+shipping. These lasers also come with goggles which is awesome. The adjustable focus is also a really nice feature to have. The battery life is pretty good with the l-ion. There just isn't too big a demand for lasers of this size at this power. The only reason we buy larger lasers is for more power.

Very stable output power for our 100mW green portable laser!Rated power: 120-130mW,can persistence 10 mins,with IR filter. After 10 mins,still can get 100mW+.However,it is a focusable laser!
