I used a too-long driver in my second build (PHR), I went without the pill and ended up in a high-stress situation with the battery; I suspect that's what killed it... since then I don't play anymore without a body-supported battery contact board

yes I have been there too with long springs they often short on the barrel.. so do the long drivers. I killed a couple diodes that way too...

I'm not sure if I should be proud or ashamed that I've killed "only" four diodes so far :p

So... where would you put a 19x10mm linear driver?

The PL450 is my favorite diode of all time.

Cutoff is when everyone who got into round1 has paid up: so far three out of seven have paid.
You're very welcome to jump in :)
I've re-opened the spreadsheet for editing (no worries guys, I have backups on my machine for authentication), take a look at it and add your details

Pay up so we can get this order going. Those who have not paid are delaying everyone's diodes. Personally this is my first single mode 450nm so I am pretty excited about it.
Also Dyeote, you need to set a cut-off date. After that point if payments are not received those people are out of the GB. (I will pay the difference if there is any and pick up their diodes on my order and reissue them to those who come in later wanting one)

Personally I am not in a rush, but I do agree with what you say in principle, and also share your excitement re: first SM blue.
cheech226 has PM'd me that he will pay on Friday, I will poke the other three that still need to pay.
I will also set a cut-off date: Wednesday, the 1st of August

I'm sure Mr T warne made that himself! Very crafty he is! I won one of his hosts on a fund raiser and it was super nice work...

Nice little host.. let me know if you have a spare you want to sell.. Looking again it'a a 10440! yikes that is tiny! :)

Eh I'm still looking for 14500 hosts.. because I have 6 batteries to do something with allthough I could buy a couple 10440's if the right host became available... :whistle:

Sorry guys and gals i was one holding this up as well but the last time i looked payment wasnt due till i think 9th of august.
Anyway payment sent in US$ cause i think tht is right and i didnt want to waste more time:yabbem::yabbem: asking so if it is not let me know.again sorry but work just keeps on getting in the way of my life.
