Re: GB Feeler oemlasersystems goggles

What the hell...? I didn't know they're here in Utah. I should see if I can just go and buy them around here too.

I'd be quite interested in another GB so I can get some goggles for red wavelengths. It'd be great if it were like a semi-annual GB so people can stock-up on good certified goggles. We might be able to get a discount for the entire order like the last GB, but I'm not too sure. It was a nice savings I must say.

Re: GB Feeler oemlasersystems goggles

Yeah, I was stoked to see they moved to SLC.
You still have to order online, but FrothyChimp just told me to write into the additional instructions box that I will pick them up so they don't charge shipping. Still takes 2 weeks to put the order together, and then let Frothy know you're coming to get em... that's it.

I need to get at least 2 pair, so we're looking at a 5% discount minimum for whoever wants to jump on this deal. I just need to make sure I can get the paypal costs covered and I can't imagine shipping being more than $10... they're not heavy like the shirts and hoodies I get printed.

I may as well just say this isn't a feeler... I AM going to order some goggles. hahaha

Maybe we can swing a deal with Frothy again like last time. It was really nice what he managed for us that time. Even then, 5-10% itself is great, and it's much better to do batch-purchases like this so we all benefit.

I can't imagine more than $15. It costs me $15-$18 to ship shirts and hoodies intl. I would guess 10-12?

That would be awesome. If you want to do that, I can still pick mine up from you. I only go up to SLC from Springville when I have to... and goggles would be worth the trip :)

What was the deal he had before? He already told me the 5-10%

Re: GB Feeler oemlasersystems goggles

We have larger discounts for larger volumes. The last group buy was over 30 pair. The discount was 25% and we shipped all of them to the group buy organizer for free. The shipping for the individual orders were handled by the group buy organizer. If you did that kind of volume we would offer the same discount. We also have two new frame styles not yet reflected on our website. Style 56 is a small lens wrap around with side shields. This is the style I use in our lab. The other is style 55 that I like to call the Poindexter frame. It is a square filter frame with side shields and removable optical insert.

As I also stated the order can be any combination of frame and filter.

That was a great GB. I think it's time to recruit buyers for this one.

Re: GB Feeler oemlasersystems goggles

For myself, I'd be interested in an RB2, frame style 35 (wrap around) (link).

Here are some others that people should consider:

ML7 - $154 - Great general purpose goggles, especially suited for 532nm green lasers because it also filters out IR. Also filters 405nm (however not 445nm) very well, and low-powered red (150mW). These are "the" goggles for protection against most DPSS green lasers (< 1W) because they cover IR as well (unlike those red anti-green goggles).

YLW - $101 - Yellow filtered lens perfect for 445nm and 405nm. Very good visibility (high VLT), and extremely good protection against those two wavelengths.

RB2 - $119 - Protection against red lasers up to about 1-2W for 635nm, and more for longer wavelengths. I choose this one over others like the KRR or DY2 because I like having a higher VLT rating (i.e. how much other light can shine through so that I can see things).

I don't seem to have access to edit the thread title.
anyways though, I'm sure we can get a great group buy on this, so I'll start the list.
