this blows. i don't blame you at all, kenom. This just sucks that all the suppliers on this have screwed you over to no end.. the machine shop, the ridiculously expensive prototype, the drivers from blue.. I'm sorry bro.

seriously kenom, You have undergone enough pain from this GB. You also broke the record for the longest GB, The SKY's didnt take this long lol....


Man blue... although you can't really blame him... He lives in AU...


as some dude said, just sit back and relax for a while kenom, until the drivers arrive (although I may be told to STFU, as I have already received my barrel, I haven't used it though, my drivers don't work too well in these... )

Yup i tried your drivers and even with the top of the lm317 lopped off, it still needed to be bent back to fit inside the barrel, making it a bit too long.

I'm now using rckstr's driver with a phasor diode inside :p

Kenom, thanks for the constant updates, I know I don't speak for everyone but i'm not in a hurry to get mine, i'll get it when you get everything in order. Don't spend your own money, most of us are understanding and will wait for the barrels.

Sure i'd love to get them now but as Senkat pointed out, you've spent enough and don't need to drop more money into this. The updates you bring are the reason people are soo patient so again thank you.

lol man, I have all sorts of drivers, but what sux is the spring.... I cant get that to stay straight, and it gets all messy...


also, My cousin broke the clicky (the black thing that goes into the tailcap) so I will have to order another from DX sometime :'( :mad:

To get a good connection from the spring to the battery this is what I did.

I smothered the exit of the battery chamber with silicone glue. I then dropped a couple of small dx magnets to make contact with the battery. The elasticity of the silicone holds them in place firmly. Now the spring has something to hold on to.

I ordered 2 drivers from rkcstr which will be shipped out some time this week. So lets say by the end of the week if the bluefusion drivers are still a no show just send me my barrels. That is a definite. Thanks a lot kenom! ;)

Hey guys, Kenom recommended that I post here about a driver alternative that is available NOW for your krytons.  It was designed for the barrel run #2 but seeing the current situation with Blue's failure  to deliver, just wanted to make you aware that it exists in case you're interested.  This driver is an advanced switching driver that will deliver a longer run-time on the batteries than the old driver could.

here's a photo of it installed in a kryton V1

The black diode pictured will be included along with instructions.  It's a lot more expensive than the 'fusion' drivers, but that's be cause it's factory assembled and uses much more expensive components.
