Alright cool, I took mine apart as well doesn't look like its too bad though. The host might even get reused for some other W/L someday.

That would be awesome thanks :)

Mine just peaked at 380mW exactly with about 30-35mW IR. I am happy with that! I starts off strangly low but after about 2 minutes starts to climb. I keep my room pretty cold so that might just be why it takes longer than usual.

I have this laser. The host is very strong and solid. Seems to be built very nice. It power rates over 300mW, can't remember exactly. I paid over $250 for mine! This is a good deal if the laser not DOA.

I'm on the hunt for a Firedragon 500mW green.

Mine came in last week, just 6 days after it shipped, but I'm in the middle of a move at the moment so when I get internet access back at home and can test it out I will post the results. The beam on mine is quite narrow for the first few feet out and then widens out considerably, I will measure off a distance and get some dot measurements to try and figure the divergence. I do love how solid the host is and I love the orange/blue switch lighting. So far very happy with it, just hope it meters like the others as well.

Hope rhd does a round 2 when he gets back.

Ditto :D I would love to participate in the next GB

Although, Customs will probably take it... They cant resist a laser like that.

I might get someone to buy me one, take it apart, and send it in 2 packages... Or maybe Dino would do it for me?

How long is the supplied cell supposed to last? Mine had a runtime of about 10 minutes! Fully charged of course!

Wow! I never tried the supplied cell, used one from larrydfw and I haven't gone through a single charge yet.

Yeah I guess I need new cells!
Ok I don't have an lpm to test it but I have a 1.2 watt blue laser to compare it to. Its made by yob and its really a beast. The blue is brighter, when I put the goggles on I can tell that the blue dot is at least two times brighter. Is this how it's supposed to be? The green dot is big, probably bigger but a lot dimmer! I'm getting worried now, i thought the green was supposed to obliterate the blue!

Thanks for organizing this one RHD!

No problem! It has been really fun to watch it pan out.

Hope rhd does a round 2 when he gets back.

Well, I've got something potentially interesting up my sleeve ;) The laser is back at my new home waiting for me, and I should have the chance to play with it by the 5th.

Won't tease too much, because the next potential source has absolutely no track record with me yet. But the "guaranteed" spec suggests a significantly high powered 532, at not too much more than this GB through DD. But the jury is out. Actually, the jury hasn't even seen the evidence yet ;)
