COMBINING OPTICS FOR USE WITH DIY PROJECTORS ... including LUMIA and SPIRO PJs..

New dichro mirrors(these reflect one or more colors and pass one or more colors) allow a good way to combine colors- high quality optics make for less losses-
these are being tested ATM by some of the best minds at the show forum-

I will include other optics in this GB as well--like BS Cubes for combining two same colors.(or splitting)+

ANY small items sold by this company(China) can be also be ordered- there is always a savings when items are combined-

so try to order with that in mind-

As we will get a good deal if you make a buy for an optic you don't need selling it at a profit or break-even should be no problem--so you are not stuck with items you don't need-

IF you are NOT CONUS you may consider getting with other local forum members you know and make a buy for all at the same time and then you re-ship to them. For those the order will be shipped direct & not to me-- I will only re-ship to CONUS and Canada--




I soon will have some of these new dichros to test and meter for losses.
if my tests go well I will do a GB for these-

i think I will be able to get forum members a good deal and we may get
the newest and best deal too- incuding dichros for the new diode greens.

AS always the larger orders get us the best prices-

these are now being reviewed and tested by some of the pros members at the other forum and they test for things I cannot. ATM I will only be testing for losses and divergence of each color and as white laser combined- All CONUS BGers will pay me and I will re-ship- we will work out other means for those NOT CONUS. So post here and you will be subscribed to this thread-

If this GB goes well and I like the lab lasers offered by the same maker I may want to do a GB for 628nm 1W or higher lab lasers(or other colors)-- so post interest on this here too.to get a good deal we will need to order as many as 10pcs- any other laser modules offered by the same company can also be ordered with the red modules-

I expected to get this reaction- no prices? wth? bear with me my friends-


I am getting IIRC the smallest round dichros at 15mm- these are just one size and shape-that is offered--

I expect to get my samples in a week to 10 days- I can find the regular prices but we are hoping for better-- that is why this is just a feeler ATM. ++

you know we always get better pricing as a GB and service too,,,as we are not just us- but a huge forum and how we feel DOES effect sales-

The testers at PeeLee have some already and are doing very high tech testing that is a little beyond my understanding- all i (we) care about is good prices & good quality- so my tests we be simple ones--losses after combining and divergence- as for the lab lasers- we want a combo of good pricing and a nice beam-- two things that do not always come in the same item--

so I have been reading all I can find about lab lasers and the feedback- I will start with red-then green atm the most expensive colors we all need--

-- I am hoping that soon we will see higher powers in green diodes which at first will require combining two green 520s to make a high power green- its too early ATM to expect low prices- remember 405- It cost me $140 for a true 5mW 405- and that was the going rate- now a phr is almost free- the glass aixiz lens lens is about the same price as the PHR 405 doides-

The PeeLee member I am working with is 'Bridge' he has been around a long time and is well respected at the forums-- and I see LPF as a so-far untapped source of buyers-as most here in time WILL grow bored with handhelds so they either leave lasers behind or move up to PJs-- its a natural progression--IMO.+
at first I will test as quickly as i can on these- I have three PJs projector projects working atm and have dichros from other sources --so in time I will be able to comment on and compare with these from Bridge-+
the ones sold at AixiZ-
the ones from lasever
and lastly the almost free dichros from the Kasio projectors

-I will test losses with ALL these wavelenghts- 405-445-450-532 -515-638-650-& 660 --



so prices when I get them-

up date- shipping of some to me will happen soon- for those posting here and those who PMed me- the source is LaserWave- and the sales guy is Bridge-

LW and Bridge have one of the better reps of the China makers- they have been around a long time too. -- Prices soon- let me do some graphs etc and then we will likely get price quotes which I think will, of course, go down depending upon how many we can order-- I will post some links here asap--

It'd be nice to have a GB for precision adjustable mounts. They're not terribly expensive to get on eBay, but if you want to align lots of lasers it adds up. Some cheap, but decent, flexture-type mounts would be great for tying to do beam combining.

They just arrived- a set is 15mm round and they sent the rectangle version too as well as a BSC- First I will test for losses- then see how the divergence is effected. Then see how the white looks and meters- we all will save a lot in shipping all to me then re-ship that would make a 28$ difference right there (per order for CONUS @$2) and a tad more for ARG up in Canada. I will need to drill 13mm holes in my MM1 mirror mounts for use of dichros- cant afford to buy more(proper ones) right now-

The larger the order the lower per pcs cost- I will ask around to see if a re-seller aside from myself wants to get in on this deal (Like AixiZ) they have a long shelf life-
There is already a GB starting at the 'other' forum. I hope we can do this for less than they are over there. bbsoon

The optics arrived- posting a few pics asap
I had planned to drill holes in my MM1 FS mirror mounts-

BUT-- that looked to SCARY- and this weekend i will be getting 4 dichro MMI mounts that require not holes- so very quickly I will be doing LPm readings to see first-hand the losses-- Pricing is on a sliding scale- we get a better deal fi we buy moar- we save oo shipping a BUNCH- a set will cost more than double so we will save
buy getting all sent to me with ONE ship cost- from here I can mail them to each member for squat- 3$ maybe- beats the hell out of $30
I will be also testing on of Bridges BSCs to see how well we can combine - This GB will also be at the other laser forums and hopefully we will get LOTs of buyers and get those numbers down. Order more than you think you will ever need- afaik the 'keep' for years and should be easy to sell at a profit later- as HHeld/pointers eventually grow very bored w/ their lasers they either quit or move towards PJs and building them- AFAIK these dichros can be used to group color close together for LUMIA- spyro- etc. for an addition cost I can send your dichros akong with a HakLumia kit- pics coming now!

These were expertly packed- as we wil be getting a bulk order i cannot tell you how your will be packed but be assured I will send them to you the best way I can--
I appears that shipping should be around $35usd- for a few or for many- so right there we get a big break- the actual cost to re-ship will be on each GB Member- cant be much for CONUS-

Here are pics of how these came to me-
shipped by DHL --by far my fav shipper- the extra cost is well worth it- and how quick we see delivery is secondary to getting no boxes opened fore further inspections- Customs etc.- It appears that DHL does thier own inspection in China when the boxes are presented for shipping- we see 'DHL inspected' yellow tape sealing the boxes and in more than 80 shippments to me or my people never once has this seal been broken

These will be a good deal- if only due to the savings in shipping- to buy one or many from china- $30 - to buy from one of us in the USA $~$3-
as DI green diodes 515/520 are relatively new the dichros for these are also new- I hope to find out how many we must order to get the lowest price-
if you want to see TONS of VERY expert & unbiased test results they are posted in a VERY long thread (>3 pages) over at the show forum- OP is 'Bridge' (lasever) my testing will happen next week when i have my MMI dichro mounts- only testing for losses and seeing if the divergance is effected-

BUT the other reviews/tests already show these to be VERY good to use. especially for combining several 520 nm 120mW cubed together- plz give me some time to get the prices figured out- i do know I should be able to offer these at the SAME prices from showforum member 'planters' these are offered in several sizes both round and retangular shapes- my review will be done compering sets from two other sources BUT not for 520/515 DI diodes but wll show how well these new ones work for combining R and B=with Green. The other two sets i got before the green diodes were offered-
Thus if you are combining 532 DPSS green with R and/or B the results with diode greens are of no concern to you-

IIRC a set of two will cost around 15$ to 30$- not sure how much the BSCs will cost but i got one here and will try it with all colors-

I should have results by next Wed. but the prices will be determined by how many want these- which ones and which sizes etc- If you are in a rush i have no problem with you ordering from 'Planters' -- he is a good guy and USA- so you will get the big shipping break-- hak
