Yep, from AU and got mine too. Going to assemble them later tonight. Looks too fragile to try and resize the holes for the 1N4001 but will give it a try and post back.

received my board today! in malaysia!

anyway, i would like to ask... since i need at least 6V to power up the 16x sony diode, can i use a 9V battery? (5 AAs or AAAs is too much in terms of quantity for me...)

Why not use TWO RCR123A, each provides ~ 3.6 v power, total 7.2v which is fine for reds. If i am wrong, somebody correct me and help this man out\

hmm.. thanx for the suggestion... im still looking for a housing for my setup... so i want to decide on what battery to use...

i noticed this:

I have a stable power supply rated 6V but measured 5.8 V. Would this suffice for red diodes?

DO NOT USE A POWER SUPPLY


There was a member on here who killed his/her diodes using a power supply, I do not recommend it.


a 9v does not have sufficient mAh, and will sag very fast. 2 14500's (AA size 3.6v batteries) or 2 CR123's will do good.
