Re: GB: 4$ C6 heatsink + others

10x SH-032 Copper GOLD

25x 16.7mm round copper driver HS

25x Gold focus adapters

Can we have some dimensional specs to the driver HS and Focus adapter?

Is there silver anodizing like chrome?

Shit, I need to sell some more crap... Thanks a lot Anthony :na:

Added you :)

Driver heatsink is 3mm thick and 16.7mm round with two 2mm holes drilled to pass wires through  the 3/4th an inch focus adapter is 19mm diameter (3/4th inch) being 5mm thick with a 6mm hole for the beam to pass & the M9x.5 threads for 4.5mm going in ;)

Let me know if you need more info :D

Re: GB: 4$ C6 heatsink + others

Seems good to me.

One problem I have found with focus adapter is that sometimes they are threaded too deep, and the lens screws in too far. For most 3 element glass lens, this is fine, but when using a G series lens, it sucks because you cant focus it all the way unless you use epoxy or some adhesive to adhere the lens to the focus adapter by.

Also, can you make sure that they use a 15/32 reamer and not a 12mm reamer to ream the hole. If they used a 12mm the holes on the HS would be too big for our modules. And sometimes a standard 15/32 drill cuts undersized...

Set screw or no? I vote no.

Also, just a suggestion but maybe you could add a 45 degree chamfer to the end of the focus adapter for looks?

Oh, and you didn't answer my question about silver anodizing? lol

If you need any help with the GB bud let me know

Sorry for all the questions. lol

So the heatsinks are basically a copper circle similar to the back side of a host pill (the part with 2 holes)? Also, any chance I could get just a host shell? I have a heatsink from Moh's giveaway but nothing to put it in, I'll only get one with an order not just separate. Are these direct press heatsinks? I vaguely remember something being mentioned in your module GB about doing a GB for direct press heatsinks. Also, This is an awesome deal, but I'm on a plane to basic Tuesday morning next week, is there any way I could pay for an order and have it shipped later on?

@Dpup, odd thing here you don't care about, but my wakeup call on Tuesday to start getting ready, and breakfast, and plane boarding all begins at 0330. Fun fact

Haha have fun at BMT, I went through basic 6 years ago when it was still considered somewhat "hard" :na: If you happen to get stationed in Alaska hit me up and Ill buy you a beer, always good to see someone new come in to serve their country.

Was it still a 6 week deal, or was it the 8.5 week situation that it is now? I just might take that offer.

Let's take the rest of this to PMs so we don't derail this thread.

Back on topic, thanks for the tip! Any ideas about paying now and waiting for a shipment later?

I ship out to basic next Tuesday, but this is a great deal, can I pay for some now, and have them shipped to my tech school, or first duty station?
