Are we talking internal or external lens springs? Im getting confused by the measurements shown...

I just took one of the Aixiz internal springs and measured it with a yardstick ;), this is what I got.

0.269 inches / 6.84mm Outer Diameter
0.244 inches / 6.22mm Inner Diameter

0.580 inches / 14.75 mm length (this could change a good bit without causing problems)

0.014 inches / 0.35 mm wire diameter

~0.1 inch / 2.44mm solid height

Which doesn't add up perfectly, but it is probably close enough.

Do you know how many coils? I'll try getting more quotes and they always ask for the coils :p

I'm still confused why we are looking for internal lens springs... Am I the only one who thinks they are useless?

I think we should be looking for external ones like the ones sold at SL.

Not the only one, I've heard other people say that too. But then the vast majority disagree.

If you don't like lens wobble, and you don't want shards of teflon tape hitting your diode, then internal springs are great. External springs don't always fit a build, and they definitely destroy the aesthetic.

External wouldn't destroy the aesthetic if they were copper. I'm just saying!

:p

Ok, kidding aside, I am ok with either - but I think most folks like internal. Colored external might be neat if it didn't come off.

Here's a pitcher for ya!
