^oh really, very nice. I would have been happy by just the front, but i guess this is just the bonus :) plus i think it might have been easy for them to just polish the whole module :)

The advantage to polishing the whole module is heat transfer. Normally you want a rough finish to increase surface area, but to transfer heat from the module to the sink, a polished surface does a better job. :yh:

Guys just an update.
These will be shipped by the manufacturer by April 27th then FedEx Air to me and DTR then to everyone else. If you are in Canada or the US then it will likely take only a week to get to you, in Canada actually as slow as 3 business days because I'm going to use XpressPost for all of the canadian orders. For the US I believe it's about the same for your equivalent. For international it can be from 7-21 business days.

Could you clear this up a bit... Have the modules been ordered...
Has the payment been sent to the supplier...

The reason I ask is because only today you posted that some
members only paid for the GB today...:undecided:

Ok I've gotten jimdt7's and RyanElectro payments today
I'll be adding you to the paid list shortly

I was giving timelines for the delivery to those who have paid I ordered the modules anyway and whoever hasn't paid by the time im shipping them will not get them. I figured it's pointless to delay everyone's orders because four people haven't paid. and I've paid the manufacturer already. I sent DTR the Paypal receipt for proof when I paid :) And payments can still be accepted for those who hasn't paid, I'm just accepting some later as some have contacted me about it or some are just a little late which is ok.
Hope this clears everything up  just let me know if there is any more questions I'll gladly answer them ;)

That's true... I think someone sells gold plates ones, but they are meant for battery contacts...

Qumefox does. And they won't work for this.

We basically need to find the springs in massive bulk somewhere.

Hardware store?

You really don't need any special springs. I've got a few on my desk and more in the garage. I just cut pieces off longer 1/4 inch dia springs. I like to use a really hard spring so it holds the lens tight in the threads.

Some of us don't have access to hardware stores. An online source would be key.

plus if you're buying 300 springs, it will get expensive at a hardware store paying $1 each, when you could probably get them for like $0.10ea in bulk online.

or, hop on alibaba.com and have the chinese custom make you some springs lol
that's what i'd do, and have done in the past for items.
