  1. Thermal properties is EVERYTHING in this GB.
  2. Filing a dispute is not AT ALL a "plain and simple" solution. There's no point in filing a dispute with AnthoT when it wasn't his fault that the manufacturer told him it was copper (if we didn't "bitch & moan")
  3. Your points don't even make sense. How are you going to file a "plain and simple" dispute when you think "its going to take more than 45 days from your payment before the modules are at your door"?
  4. Fix the problem at the source, not the messenger.
  5. "Thats why you wanted to make sure everybody had full trust in AnthoT", but then suspect him to "pull a Steviedezie and up and leave"? <-- What are you really trying to say?
  6. It is DEFINITELY NOT "bitching and moaning".

Very disappointing that you of all people would post such a low-quality, thoughtless post. -rep

LOL!
1. When the modules arrived to AnthoT he would have figured out they were brass instead of copper ( if he were to run this copper module GB correctly)
2. IF I received brass ( i dont care about what you would have done in the slightest) I would have filed a dispute. You don't like that? Tough shit bro, I don't care what you think about how I handle my shit.
3. Point being AnthoT promised our modules within the 45 day window. IF I don't get mine in that time frame. here comes a dispute.
4. I don't "suspect" AnthoT of anything. Once again I wanted to remind the forum what happened last time a new comer came, earned some trust, then made off with $hundreds of our dollars. HE STILL Could. I do not think he is, or else I wouldn't have send the guy $40 for copper modules. If you don't like me bringing up the Steviedezie thing either or how it could translate to AnthoT, then once again... TOUGH SHIT.
5. You are bitching and moaning at me, Just like a little girl on her period.
6. You go around the forum flaunting your professional building skills. I asked you in one thread how you could promise someone a 2.7W 445? Do you have these high powered diodes on hand? Do you buy projectors and bin then according to efficiency and output? Do you build dual diode setups? You never answered my questions. How can you build 2.7W 445's at the drop of the hat when rhd, lazeerer, DTR can't? They've only had a couple diodes go that high.

Oh yeah, -rep for crying like a 9 year old on her period

Hey Jake,

Please calm down.. my points were really valid, but maybe you're a little angry to see them right now. I'm sorry it offended you but I wanted to tell you the truth you know and how I felt about your post.

Again, if it wasn't for our "bitching & moaning", you would probably end up filing the dispute. We're trying to help. Don't need to get so mad =/

Regarding my builds, I do have ways building up to 2.2W builds and soon once I'm free, I'll be releasing a 2.5W potentially higher "special" build while keeping it under 1.85A. You have access to the same resources, maybe you should just try looking harder? Remember, I own a LaserBee so my builds will definitely reach what I say it will within about 150mW of advertised. I usually send out my builds with Video Certificates of the customer's laser being LPM'd, so they know it's legit. And yes you're right, it's only a couple of diodes, but I happen to have them.

And finally, again I apologize if I offended you but I didn't mean to. It was a post of how I truly felt and also how others feel, as they've PM'd me telling me so. But I hope you don't take it against me in the future, I DO look up to you, that's why I was disappointed and upset! I'm sorry anyway maybe I was too harsh? :undecided: But your last post.. it's really mean :(

With respect Ryan, you weren't here for the StevieDezie fiasco. You're less than 2 months young on this forum, so you don't know a lot of history. Heck, Jake and I don't know a lot of the history, and we've got a few years on you.

There's nothing about how StevieDezie presented himself that was any more of a reason for concern than anything expressed in this thread by AnthoT.

So - Jake's concerns are/were/will be valid, at least until the GB is successfully complete. It's not a reason to avoid the GB, or cancel it. But it's a reason to be cautious.

EDIT: And while we're chatting:

I usually send out my builds with Video Certificates of the customer's laser being LPM'd, so they know it's legit. And yes you're right, it's only a couple of diodes, but I happen to have them.

Not more than a month ago, you were talking to me about buying one of my builds. You were skeptical and wanted to know why my build (I think around $175) would be any better than just buying the $139 unit from lazerer.com (which I think is what you ended up doing to save money). So in a period of one month, you've gone from not owning a laser, and not understanding why a quality community build would be any better than something from China, to being at the stage where you can say something like "I usually send out my builds...", operating a "Pro Shop", and advertising your builds as "High Quality".

Sorry. Doesn't pass the sniff test.

Jake's points might be valid but he was extremely rude to me, are you going to deny that? I also had very valid points, are you going to deny that too? Please answer these two questions and don't ignore them. I've also apologized to him on PM but it seems he wants to ignore me now =/ Sometimes I feel being nice just gets me bullied. I'll try to keep my hopes up you guys will love me for who I am!

And thanks for reminding me, but that's how I started building my own builds in the first place! :D I didn't end up buying from lazerer and everyone told me "why don't you just build your own". And so I started. I researched for hours on end on this forums, built my laser and then started building lots of builds for my fellow friends and became pretty popular! They convinced me to start my own Pro Shop. I planned for weeks on end and put hours and hours into research and here I am today :san:

I've learned a lot from you! You taught me Chinese lasers suck, which is entirely true! Worry not, my builds and skill have improved in the background as I kept quiet about my continuous effort for past month! I've invested over $1500 in equipment, experimented builds, put countless hours of research into my Shop prior to offering it. I hope it will pay off!

Thanks for your concerns! I love your builds and will be looking forward to your support! ;)

I'll be adding you to the paid list shortly ;)

I appreciate you stepping in defending me in the "PayPal case" issue, but I also must say if JakeGT doesn't trust me he can PM me and I'll set something up so he will trust me. I can take care of this situation easily ;)

Any idea how they polish the module ? Only the front needs to be polish, all the rest will be obscured by the sink/host.

^oh really, very nice. I would have been happy by just the front, but i guess this is just the bonus :) plus i think it might have been easy for them to just polish the whole module :)

Could this conversation go on somewhere else ? It has nothing to do with the groupbuy and it will show disrespect for the topicstarter.

I guess they didn't take the hint....

On topic
Doesn't polished copper not stay polished very long?
Is there anything I could coat the face of the module with to keep it shiny?

Bare copper will tarnish pretty fast. You can use clear coating to protect it. Look at your wife/sister/mom desk and find some blank fingernail lacquer. It should do the job :)
Just the front and not the side or it will ruined the thermal permeability.

^yeah i was wondering the same thing, i hear it oxidizes even faster. maybe transparent coating of something?? that can withstand heat as well..hmmm

It would oxidize.. i have no idea what to coat it with but i know that the more you touch it the faster it oxidizes
