An FYI -

DTR is murdering the Pioneer BDR-209DBK 16x, so to avoid murdering the same drive twice, I've switched the murder target to an LG BDR / BDXL (WH16NS40) 16x - another relatively new 2013 drive, and as far as I can tell, untested so far.

Interesting development.

O-Like is selling this diode for $720, or a build in a new O-Like host that is basically a gold version of the cube host RHD built into, for $848.

Raw diode $720

Cube host for $848

O-Like has all sorts of new goodies, including a 3W 450/635 labby for $500. Though no more threadjacking from me :p

Old news that Olike is selling for $720. :p

That's what made DTR drop his price, to stay competitive with o-like

The cube host laser is interesting, but I wouldn't buy it. That host is not suitable for a $720 diodes ;)

I love that host, and have often wanted to build in a square host, but sadly it wasn't me who did previously.

They are selling a handful of lasers in that host.

Sorry RHD, perhaps it was Angelos..

Coulda sworn you did a 638 in a silver square host :p

Now that's a cube host worthy of one of these diodes :p

As a note, since I'm leaving the hobby the only thing I'd do with the diode is end up selling it... and despite needing the money, I find that completely unfair, so I would like to opt out of being in the drawing.

yes seems a lot brighter may need better glasses if your in to burning things!
the beam looks a lot like a 500mw 638nm with a 1 element lens but with a 3 element let the beam is the best !!!!! I love this laser WOW is all I can say.

Fantastic (again)! That looks a lot brighter on your video than the 6W blue. Does it look brighter in real life too?

ZRaffleticket- if the group doesn't object, why not sell your "chances " to win for either what you paid or a slightly reduce amount? Kinda like selling your raffle ticket before the drawing. I don't recall how many $10 "chances" you paid for but this may be a good way to put some $$$ back in your pocket and let's some of us more inclined to gambling improve our odds. If it is possible I might be interested in buying some or all of your position in the drawing.

Just a thought.....
