Hello Dennis i was going to pm you for update - your laser will be handed to UPS this weekend or next Monday - it will arrive next Thursday probably - sure i will keep you posted of the trakcing info.

I know other lasers were all shipped or delivered - so the highest power model has to come the last so far, haha:eek:

Thanks a lot for your patience! Best regards, Gray

Gray,

WHERE YOU BEEN??

Good to see you back-Wm.. Gray has made the JL GBs super simple and removed almost all of the bad parts like waiting on the last GBer to pay up-

you can now order directly from Gray or still go thru me- the main diff will be the cost of Del and how quick you get your order--you save about 15$ on shipping by having our laser first sent to me. and like always I do a second close inspection and take several LPM readings and a graph too.

We are offering the last of the 532 Ti-Bs 100 /150 mW and there are still a few PL-Es at JL and here with me in Tx- we are down to the last few 3x BEs but soon Gray will offer us a newer /better version in3X , 5X and 10X too.

I have four sizes of JL Li-ions here to ship- we cannot add them to your box from China with your laser-- at greenlaserpointer.org you can see the batts and very soon there will be one of the best and safest chargers the Nitecore i2- get a BETTER deal with a 'bundle' get any two batteries with your nitecore . I will also be adding some LK rgb projectors at GLP.org roo. and a lot more---- <..... hak

hak - sent you an email. I've been around, flying mostly, really eats up the budget, and my PL-C has been working so well (until recently) that I don't need anything new. Switch broke in the PL-C so I've been talking to Gray (*very* helpful) about getting a replacement.

Yes the switch used for those has been about the only weak part- i sent one back from my collection for the same reason-

"I'd look at the jetlasers site, but it's being worked on or something"

They had a Web issue a few days ago -- Try this Web Address:
jetlasers.org

Just an update -- I had ordered the 500mW Laser and Gray was kind enough to LPM it for me and the results: Peaked at 565 and averaged 499.

Both of my orders included a single cell wall charger. One works fine and charges my 26650 batteries to 4.12 volts when I pull out with the green light on.

The other wall charger - Was plugged into a power strip at my feet and after perhaps 10 minutes -- There was a rather loud POP and a faint burnt smell. Unplugged and pulled the battery out and it registered 4.12v and the red light was still on the charger. That charger is on it's way to it's new permanent home !!

Long story short -- Ordered a Nitecore i4 from a current GB -- Should solve the problem.

As I'm not familiar with protected batteries -- I may not have a good spare. No worries -- As the Laser only takes one battery !!
******************

JL.org is back up and working. it is NOT where you should be placing order--NOt for forum members-

order via Gray or me. same prices either way but I can ship cheaper being in USA. Those not in CONUS or canada DO need to order directly from Gray using PM here at LPF.

***********
Sparky- you have me a little confused- what do you mean by 'wall charger'
are you referring to the one battery free chargers?? are there even such a thing as a charger that is not plugged into a wall(outlet).

I have been sending additional instruction on these kinds of chargers due to an increase of reports involving a failure of some kind.

- I will have 11 nitrcore i2 smart chargers very soon in stock at greenlaserpointer.org < there we have four Li-ion sizes too and much more being added soon including the LK-PD2.0 RGB 500mW projectors. All shipped from Texas.

hope this helps PLEASE use any small size li0ion chargers with GREAT CARE.. never charge overnight- & place your charger in a location where there is less danger of have a bad day involving your local fire department.

BUMP

OK
some have asked if the prices at our GB are REALLY any lower.
here is what you pay (laser only) retail(rounded off)
PL-E 532nm focusable (add 10$ if you want the battery extension tube)-- THESE ARE ALREADY LOWERED AS CLOSEOUTS
150 mW $200
300 $290
400 $390
500 $490
600 $590
700 not offered ATM but if it were expect a price of $690
________________
Pl-E 445
1W----$200
1.5 W not listed
***********
PL-E Pro 445
1W---------$240
1.2W..... $270

go here to see all the Pro line retail prices-

New series of PL-E lasers, PL-E Pro series. New features added. - Jetlasers.org, Official Sale site for Jetlasers laser products.

then compare with those at our GB thread--

The discount % is lower on some that are now offered as closeout-
Those that purchased them earlier paid MORE.

If you want to get direct ship from JL (~$30 dhl express) you should consider getting accessories at the same time to save on shipping.

The laser stands are very nice and a must have item if you take night pics of your lasers, if you do LPM testing, or just want to make the laser secure w/o needed to hold it.

OK-sorry-- the clamp style are not currently in stock according to JL .org

BUT for Pro buyers there is a nice $? tripod And the pro line have a 1/4" tripod hole for use of most any tripod- these are somewhat bigger than the clamp kind so the shipping MAY be higher if included- AND if you shop around tri-pods can be found very cheap used- on feeBay or at a thrift shop. I would NOT however trust a tiny cheap tripod for my Pro JL Laser--

Wallwarts are only 12$ be sure you confirm that your laser has a jack for one and that the laser is made to handle the extra voltage.(8vdc)

NOTE one member asked if the ac/dc converter makes his handheld JL into a Lab Laser ??

the answer is NO!!
lab lasers often have active cooling and a much better/larger Heatsink.

I highly suggest that you NEVER test how long your laser can run before fail- DUH!!

personally I never push the limits and cannot see any reason to run an expensive handheld laser for a long periods-doing this may not kill your laser but it MAY shorten its lifespan- and you REALLY don't want that..

hope this info helps

for Li-Ion batteries or NiteCore i2 smart chargers just contact me directly- no batts are currently offered direct from JL--if you order there I will still be the one sending them to you (CONUS & Canada)

and OF COURSE only a fool would want batteries sent WITH a laser IF the package is crossing ANY borders- I have purchased lasers from China that come with 'free' battery(s) I ALWAYS request/insist NO batts please- they are sure to be (often) very cheap batts & if they cause your shipment to get seized--??
you will regret trying to get batteries this way--

can you imagine some laser-ignorant customs person using/playing with your laser?? will they now about rest cycles ? will they take care where the laser is pointed? will the put the battery in backwards? (N/P with JLs all are rev.pol. protected)

one other bit of info USPS regs. currently bans shipping of Li-ion batteries UNLESS they are shipped inside the 'intended device'

When the shipping starts out as EMS once it gets to the USA it becomes a USPS item- so while your laser(s) alone would have made it- the battery in the package NOT inside a laser can be a BIG problem- and YES I know very few worry about these regs. thousands on Li-Ions/Lithiums get mailed every week- but if YOUR gets seized that fact will be meaningless--

HOPE this post will answer a few Qs.

Either your camera takes great shots, or that is a nice, richly colored beam of 532nm goodness! I am now
Even more excited to get mine! Is the lpm you referenced from gray, hak, or your own? Im just curious... congrats buddy, that pro is a fine lookin lady! Are you happy with it overall?

Hak, if you got your ears on; did you happen to get those nitecores in? I would like to protect my brothers home from potential lithium apocalypse...and if you have some decent goggles for sale (532 nm) i would love to add these items to my happy little package. If i'm out of line here, p.m me a picture of your middle finger :) if not, p.m. me a price and ill poo pal it to you.

I took the pics with an iphone 5 but if you look on the stove I heated up some Glycerin for smoke effect :) but the beam without smoke is still visible and rich of goodness! My LPM is an 5w Ophir with Offroadfreaks meter build. I am very happy with it
