There are a few styles of GBs i was fortunate to be allowed to play host to 8 JL GBs and between Gray-JL and those that joined I enjoyed (almost) every part of them- I still worry about Customs tho.

So now JL 'Gray(& I) can do an on-going ,more or less, never ending GB- all here in just one easy to find thread-

The 'WAIT" has been removed- in traditional Gbs those paying first must wait on those paying last....no fun

and I really like how this has worked. Now that Gray includes a data logging print -out I am no longer really needed to LPm the lasers- I still do when to come to me and also inspect but finding flaws in JL Lasers is a rarity.

the trade off for the longer wait is lower shipping- about 1/2 HOWEVER pay direct to JL in the form of bank transfer ( that will cost you between 30$ and $40) and the direct shipping is free. mnany do not like Western Onion including me but the scams happen when the seller is unknown - ie not a trusted company so JL is not in that group- they are extremely trustworthy--My beef with WU was involving a payment not picked up- and by the time that was known to me (the sender) they said nobody gets the $ now. WTH?? IRC after 90 days the $$ belogs to WU. that was 20 years ago so...

I'm very interested in getting one of the PL-E Pros in 532nm, probably in the 400mw range. They look awesome! Interested in the accessories too, the extra barrel, batteries & charger, and also a holster if there are ones sized for it (its pretty big!).
This new nylon holster is a super accessory- and its adjustable to handle any size longer than 10 inches and extends to handle one even longer that the Pro PL-E and EVEN the PL-E that CAn be used with BOTH battery tubes and its a beasty with both tubes- Add the JL 10X Beam expander and then it may be TOO big for the holster- i will try and let you know..but afr all Jls from the EQ series and bigger will work well wityh this new holster,Lest you have some ladies asking if that "is a Jetlasers laser in your pocket OR.. are you just VERY glad to see me!!!" lol

Also some nice looking safety goggles in the proper wavelength range. The PL-E pro has IR shielding, yes? Or do I need to be extra sure that any goggles I get also shield in the IR range?

No worries about IR.. besides have you priced IR goggles?? NOT CHEAP!!


The pictures people have been posting look awesome, really excited to get in on that action.

Order your 'kit' and send payment for all to JL_ if you order batts they will be sent by me to you in Canada and that shipping is covered by Gray. (so stock up)

Next hot item on a close-out price that is less than 50% list will be the remaining Ti-Bs all 532nm and 100 to 150 mW. I have three listed in a post last week here- and I do not see any huge diff between the 100 & the 150mW my personal Ti-B is a 100mw and 50mW does NOT make a 150mW 1/3rd brighter- that is NOT how the math works- By eye it would take a 400mW to appear twice as bright as a 100mW. This fact I just learned-- a 1W 445 has the same 'brightness' by human eye as a 35mW 532 green!!



OKay just tried to put a Pl-E w/ second tube AND the 10X BE and its just too darned big- about half of it is above the top of the nylon 'tube' fully extended the strap will reach far enough to snap the buckle but still it would be 'top heavy'

The primary advantage of two' tube 'o batts' is NOT so much peak mW and much more about a longer time before a re-charge. I actually got the same output from two KKs as two tiny 16340s.. but with 800mW of 532 they drain very soon. --So do not think that NOT being able to use both batt tubes at the same time as a big neg cause its not.

NEXT New item coming soon will be( AFAIK) the new design JL BEs.

IIRC these will all be threaded for easy and always perfect attaching.
( at least with the PL-E Pros) You just replace the lens cap with the BE - the beam is 'fatter' at front but the 'sweet' focus spot is then much farther away- so better divergence and better burning at a long distance.( if you like that sort of thing).

Wouldn't it be cool if you were able to screw a fiber optics cable infront of your ple pro and having 3 of them red, blue, green make white.

Yep, just grab your red, green, and blue PL-E Pro laser, screw in the fiber cables, and instant white!
It would be a lot easier now, with the threads for the cap/b.e. already there, on the Pro's.

Does that changes the beam diameter and divergence of the laser too ?

I don't know about how it affects dia., or divergence, I don't think it was mentioned in the video.
At the beginning of the video, it did state that the 3 source lasers were fiber, so I don't know if it would work on something like the J/L Pro's?

Okay Troy - i was trying to get you in touch - we are calling back the 3-4 pcs of 473nms shipped with wrong ir filters - we hope to refund and replace asap - BTW, we are waiting for the returned 473nms shipped by Hak(thanks Hak) to complete the further testing report.

Hey Hanway, the ir filter were restocked - and we are calling back the 3-4 pcs of 473nms shipped out with the wrong ir filter - things are being resolved now coz testings were redone with varying filters. Thanks!

Thanks Carsen - actually we've been resolving the problem by calling back the 3-4pcs of 473nms shipped out and waiting for the 1st returning laser for confirmation.

We are trying to make comparison of the ir filters upon the 473nm laser and the methods employed by Wannaburnstuff and EpicHam are very inspiring.

Thanks for the biz and taking my suggestions- not many Jl lasers have been sold north of the border.. oddly enough very few owners ever wanted to sell their JL lasers but two that have are from CANADA--go figure..

about the shipping

I wish it was as fast to you as it is to us in USA,

for some reason it does take longer- don't be alarmed if you read in the tracking that they went to customs- that is SOP and means nothing- they seem to send them on thru ..but are not in a hurry-- I don't think Gray wants to risk sending you batteries- no amount free batteries are worth risking the laser- I scares the hell out of me when I imagine some guy(or lady) from customs 'trying out' your laser.
Will they so the stoopid with it- ??
for sure none will even know what rest/duty cycling even is.

will they drop it or have an accident causing injury-

or will they see that it is clearly way too powerful and seize it 'for your own protection'

I would be a dollar to a dime that they would put the battery in just like we all have with flashlights forever.

all JETLASERS lasers are reverse polarity protected. ( & all take neg end to the front and + to the tailcap) hope you ordered the nylon holster- great value at only 10$usd .
